The best online game is Call of Duty 4.....but overall have to go with Heavenly Sword....even though when God of War III comes out it will blow everything else away
[QUOTE="360hammer"][QUOTE="Gxgear"]Just youtubed it. Looks like a dynasty warrior style hack and slash with bad ai, and the addition of off-the-top brutality that doesn't quite match the newly relased Afro Samurai. Doesn't seem like we missed much.

Well everyone has an opinion. Its far from dynasty warriors. Imagine a GTA style game set in Japan in the time of samurai. I totally understand if that sort of thing doesn't appeal to you. Comparing it to Dynasty Warriors and Afro Samurai is way off IMO. The main focus of the game is story, presentation and rpg elements.
I would have gotten it if it was in English. I know a little japanese but not enough to get through the demo. I love the other ryu ga gotoku games(yakuza in the us).
I know absolutly no Japanese but had an aid - the walkthrough from ThePatrick - very good and posted on this site.
For $30 + $4 to $5 for shipping I would urge you to pick this one up espiecally if you enjoyed the others which I have not yet played but now plan to.

Yeah I watched the combat gameplay and Dynasty Warriors popped into my head immediately (which I swore off after the 6th installment). You described it as a masterpiece so I was expecting to get blown away.
Well sorry for that but I do feel it is a masterpiece. The combat is not anything to gloat about but was satisfying. over 200 side missions, tons of characters, a tournament kinda like the one in oblivion with 50 oponents, shops, weapons, upgradable weapons, like 25 or so bounties, mini games, gambling, training to learn new fighting moves, I mean there is so much there. I put in 30+ hours on my first playthrough and completed maybe 35% of the total game. It definitely is not for everyone.
[QUOTE="Diddies"][QUOTE="Gxgear"]From a personal standpoint, Resistance 2 is the best PS3 game so far. I don't personally go for shooters on consoles, but after playing it I went out and bought the first resistance, and will most likely pick up Killzone 2 once it's released. Great single player campaign, awesome multiplayer for replayability.
Cross platform titles shouldn't be considered IMO, they usually run much better on PC anyways. Oblivion and Fallout 3 are meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard regardless of how great they are.

PC is going down, no one even cares about PC. No one even plays it that much. It is a fact due to the sales are going down tremendously every year.
Just because people spread rumors about the decline of PC gaming doesn't make it true. With games like World of Warcraft, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Team Fortress 2, and Left 4 Dead, it doesn't seem like PC's losing any steam (o I made a pun). Highly anticipated games like F.E.A.R. 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Diablo III, and Starcraft 2 are just around the corner also.
What??? Look at the facts. They decreased 26% just this year alone. It is not a rumor. It is true.[QUOTE="Gxgear"][QUOTE="Diddies"]PC is going down, no one even cares about PC. No one even plays it that much. It is a fact due to the sales are going down tremendously every year.

What is 26% referring to? From what I've read RETAIL sales have been down 14% in 2008 compared to 2007, but it doesn't account for sales through online disbution services such as Steam. Now we can sit here and compare statistics all day if you want, but the fact of the matter is PC is home to many of the current most popular games in World of Warcraft and COD.
In my opinion Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the best game out there for the PS3. I've spent endless hours playing this game still while all other i'm done with soon as I beat them. It has great replay value start a different race and do everything throught the quest different as well. Then with the two DLC you just couldn't ask for more in a game.rusher24
Totally agree Oblivion is the best experience I have had with a video game since Final fantasy VII,
Oblivion the best!!!:D
