Best RPG game?

Mass Effect 2 and Fallout 3 are my two favorite games this gen. Dragon Age: Origins and Oblivion are also good, and I imagine Skyrim will be too. Overall, I'd say Mass Effect 2 though. Great game.

Mass Effect 2, although some will argue that it's not an RPG (but that's a whole different discussion).

I'd also say Nier, but a honourable mention to Eternal Sonata. Great classic JRPG which comes rare these days.

So far I've enjoyed Oblivion, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2. Mass Effect 2 shades it out of those three, although I'm just starting on Skyrim and I feel that could surpass them all.

I gave Demon's Souls a go but it really wasn't for me, (though I can see why people would love it) so I'll be avoiding Dark Souls too.

I'm not an RPG player, but from the ones that I've played, my vote is Demon's Souls with ME2 on second place.
