IMO, i think the Apollo PSP Video Converter and the CloneDVD Mobile by slysoft are the way to go

i use apollo to change from rmvb or other formats to MP4, and i use clonedvd to change dvds directly to MP4. both are really quick

and the best thing about apollo is that it can manage batch converting, so u can just load in a whole series and let it do its job overnight, it will also turn the PC off by itself after the job is done

what do u guys use?

PSP Video Express is the best choice for me. 100% free and it's really good, gives out great quality and it's very user-friendly. Just Google it to see where you can download it. I think I said the exact same thing in another thread too...

PQDVD Movie Creater has always been good to me and provided the best quality conversions from DVD. It's slow though, taking close to the actual runtime of the movie you want to convert.

It's by the same people that make Video Express.

I strongly Agree. It allows you to increase video quality and many other things. Its free and it just owns.

It is very user friendly and also has customization ability for the computer elite.

This is a very interesting thread and I too want to know what is the best video converter program out there. But no one is really giving solid reasons why the programs they use is actually better. Saying that a program just "Owns" isn't saying anything. Come on people!! Why is your program better besides the fact that it's free?!!

I just recently downloaded Video 9. I didn't like the fact that I had to download some other software with it. I downloaded Videora and some software called BitComment. I thought it was a bit extra but was able to succesfully download some decent videos with not much time.

Someone mentioned to buy the media manager and claims it can do more than Video 9. Well what else can it do more of? If it can do so much more, then why haven't more people gone out to get that since it cost pennies? Seems like people are scrambling all over the internet to get programs instead....I hope someone out there can help me, and the original poster of course, with very well informed answers. Thanks for the feedback.
