What do you think is the best WRPG on PS3 and why?

Fallout 3, purely epic. Period.
no, seriously I'd recommend Fallout 3 ;)

Easily this. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion a close second.
dragon age orgins is my fav rpg this gen. elder scrolls was choppy on my PS3 and i have yet to play fallout 3, but alredy preorder new vegas.da_chub
Good point. Only played Oblivion on my... err... 'other' console. Dragon Age is good too but I never really got into it. The game didn''t have that expansive freedom like Fallout or Oblivion. Felt more so like you were confined to small areas.
I'm a fan of both Fallout 3 and Dragon Age.
i bought fallout knowing it was going to be a good game and bought Dragon Age kinda on the fence, i was so impressed with Dragon Age man what a great Epic game. I love the story/Lore of DA, in somepaces it might be a little cliche but sometimes simple is good.
Dragon Age did a really good job of doing away with the Karma/Alignment bars. Life is not black and white and niether should my choices in the game be, there were alot of times where every choice had a Positive and a negative and really made you think. I also felt a attachement to my Warden from DA more so then Fallout, like i have given this character a personality based on my race and treatment/past (origin story). I can only hope they dont cut corners with DA-2 which i honestly think they are (why do we need mass effects dialouge wheel? ours was fine.)
not to get off topic but i recently just finished my first run thorugh of Demon Souls and i'm appauled that its universally accepted as the better game. i remember saying that DA was better than DS one day on these forums and a Fanboi said "DS story is way better then Cliche DA".....can you believe that. DS is the most cliche RPG out EVER (big bad monster awakens and terrorizes a city) if you can even consider it a RPG.
Well said, and no i don't even consider Demons Souls a rpg. It's a damn action game with character & weapon building. Good melee combat, aside from that it's nothing special. And way too small to be an rpg. Everything about it screams action game. ( aside from the character & weapon building )I'm a fan of both Fallout 3 and Dragon Age.

red dead redemptionis a western game , and its multiplayer has some rpg elements like xp , levels etc.
Lol. I think he meant, made by a westen developer. Even though i thought the same thing as you did after just reading the thread title. Demons Souls is actually a japanese game, even though at first glance it might appear western. Which i'm sure everybody knew anyways.red dead redemptionis a western game , and its multiplayer has some rpg elements like xp , levels etc.

I would have liked fallout 3 had it not been so error prone. freezes, graphical issues ect..
so i would have to go with oblivion it had its fair share of problems as well but i never had to reload my save so many times that i lost count.. plus its a fun game.
i do remember being frozen in vats 3 times. stuck in vats 1 time, that was cuz of a delay when i hit to enter vats i had ammo but since it didn't put me into it right away i used up my ammo then it went into vats with no ammo and it wouldn't let me exit. locked in room, that was because the door closed when i was in the room and my lock pick skill wasn't high enough to pick my way out. a bunch of glitched missions one of which was that big guy that came out when you opened the cart the teddy was in (kill the 5? giants or whatever).. long story short the only noise i remember from fallout 3 was my systems 3 beeps.
someone explain how Fallout 3 is a western? its based in Washington D.C.jcopp72The terms western RPG and JRPG refer to the major differences between Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior type games which originated in Japan and Elder Scrolls or Mass Effect type games which originated in the US.
To the TC, people in this thread are correct you need Fallout 3, Oblivion, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect. Going back a gen Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 are can't miss.

ok thanks for the info then I would agree Fallout 3 and Oblivion are great gamesBest Western RPGswguy123
Hmm...I didn't know that Best Western is coming out with their own RPG?!
That doesn't sound like it wouldn't be any good and I think that it would be kinda boring. I mean who would want to go around to the different Best Western hotels in the world to explore those areas and collect stuff, like towels and soap and those little liquor bottles and the over-priced food out of the small refrigerators. Who would you fight in combat the bad creatures in your nightmares when you use the 'sleep' option. And some of the locations may be hard to find because they don't like to leave the light on for you like some other motel chains do.
This really doesn't sound like an RPG that I would buy, and I do like certain types of RPGs.
