Uncharted or Red Dead?

Take into consideration the learning curve of understanding the PS3 controls!

Any other suggestions besides these two??

Between only those two games?

Uncharted I guess. Uncharted was fun and good, but just not amazing. It should impress though, and playing Uncharted gives you access to the Uncharted Trilogy.

Playing Uncharted leads right to AAA super fine Uncharted 2 which was a glorious 100+ GOTY Winning game across multiple sites. Then you can top that game off with AAA Uncharted 3, which was also amazing.

All three games got fantastic scores at the majority of the world's sites, check it out :

Uncharted 1 Metascore = 88/100

Uncharted 2 Metascore = 96/100

Uncharted 3 Metascore = 92/100

RDR's fun, so hit that up after you complete this trilogy. I would also recommend Demon's Souls, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction, LittleBigPlanet 1/2, Infamous 1/2, Heavy Rain, God of War 3 (God of War SAGA if you never played these), Resistance 1-3, MLB : The Show series, Gran Turismo 5, and Killzone 2/3. There are more, but that should be fine for now.

Don't forget next year's Naughty Dog exclusive PS3 game is "The Last of Us", which looks to another amazing, super fun game provided by Sony's Naughty Dog.

Check out Metacritic for any of the titlesI listed, you will find I that there are only great rated titles above.

Red Dead Revolver 2, Rogue Galaxy 2 would be epic series starters on the ps3.

The Uncharted series and Red Dead Redemption are both amazing. I forget there are other games in the Red Dead series, but I didn't play them but still found it pretty easy to get into RDR.

red ded is better from a control perspective because it has very aggressive snap-to aim and slow motion shooting. it's not a particularly a hard game either. Uncharted 1 can be quite tricky if you are using the ps3 for the first time, unless you play easy.

Whats Rogue Galaxy about??

It's a ps2 action rpg. One of the best around. Don't know why they haven't bothered with a #2 for the ps3 system.

Its about Jaster Rogue going on a adventure across the galaxy with space pirates who initially think he is a famous monster slayer. The story has a bunch of twists and turns as they search for treasure. I just about forget how the story goes lol.

I'd say Red Dead is far superior in just about every way I can think of. It will also last you much longer. If you want my own suggestions

-Batman Arkham City (pretty much objectively the strongest game this gen)

-inFAMOUS 1 and 2 (by far, the best games sony has produced this gen)

-Rayman Origins (the best platformer for the system

-Super Street Fighter IV (my go to multiplayer. has a massive skill cap so there's always something more to learn)

-Darksiders 1 and 2 (some of the best action adventures this gen)

-Devil May Cry 4 (best hack n Slash thus far this gen)

It's a great game, great game. It's a PS2 great game that's old.

He listed games that don't exist perhaps to troll, but if you somehow skipped great PS2 games you may as well play that as well.

It's a JRPG set in space, published by Sony.

What console are you converting from? RDR is an enjoyable and amusing game. Unfortunately I have not played Uncharted yet, but I do hear it is a fantastic action/adventure title. I would suggest reading reviews for for each game, maybe view some gameplay videos. Then make a final decision. But if you are looking for a lenghty game with loads of content and replayability, RDR is your best bet out of those two.

Uncharted on Easy Mode will get you "trained" properly on controls. RDR is also a good game.

God. They really are two different games. If you love western movies. especially the old stuff from the 60s and 70s you will really like red dead redemption(especially the ending). And the Halloween game for red dead with zombies is worth playing too. Now uncharted is a great action series. And part 2 is like watching a great action movie with one of the better endings to a game this generation IMHO. Honestly control wise you'll pick up on red dead pretty quick.
