Just got a PS3. Dont want to spend $63 on a new game unless it's like God of War III. For all the other games.. You think it's a better deal to buy them on ebay $30-$40 and then resell them on ebay or use Gamefly??? Just wanted to know what you guys thought. Has anyone used Gamefly?? whats the condition of the games?

Gamefly is just like netflix. I personally don't shell out 60 bucks unless I know I'm going to like the game. If you are unsure, rent it first, then buy it used.

Use a service like Gamefly to rent the games you want to check out and purchase the ones you are sure about. As for eBay, I'm less likely to use it for games other than maybe grabbing an import now and then. Sure, buying used off there may save you some cash but the devs/ publishers see nothing from it and you have no doubt been seeing in the gaming news about the different studios/ publishers having hard times lately.

Gamefly is a pretty good service. My brother and I have been using it for about 4 years now and we have never had a problem with it. The games come in great condition and you can rent up to like three games at a time I believe. Its really worth the price. I recommend getting it. Especially since games are expensive and everything is rising in prices these days

Well you know the games like Little Big Planet that have 70+ hours of gameplay, ill buy those. But I was thinking using gamefly for games like Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted that can be finished in well under 10 hours.

Gamefly isn't that cheap on selling PS3 games. They have good prices on the wii games. If you want to buy ps3 games, Ebay or Amazon is the way to go. If you just want to keep the game for a while and return them all, then Gamefly would be cheaper.

Gamefly is great for playing older games. It is a good service. For newer games it can be problematic. You have a very slim shot of getting any new releases. About the only way is to just leave one or 2 games in your queue and pray they send them. I have 2 rentals at a time and have been waiting on Skate 2 for 2 weeks now, they can't send anything else as my queue is empty, but it has really been that long. Otherwise it is a great service, and sometimes you do get lucky and get new games day one.

What is awesome about gamefly is that you can purchase the game from them. Games like Uncharted, GTA4, Rainbow Six that I knew I was going to buy, I just rented them they day they came out and then clikced on the "keep it" button. Gamefly charged me like $45 to keep it and then they would ship me the game case. This way I usually would buy a game for around $45 and have the membership for the month of unlimted rentals for around $17. So it cost me $62 a month to purchase a new game (from them) and have the serice for a month--which is about the same as it would cost me to just buy one game a month.

Gamefly does have its cons, like if you don't get a new release on day one--you usually have to wait months before it is availabe. And the turn around from sending one game back and getting the new one some times would take a whole week or more.

So they have to recv the game before they send the next one out. I guess I can see that. I might just try it, $12.99 for first month for 2 games, if I dont like it ill cancel before the month is up. How easy is it to cancel?

I got Uncharted in the mail, bought off Ebay. Disc in great condition, I removed the sticker from the case and damaged the case a little. Hopefully it doesnt take alot off the price when I sell it on ebay, im guessing around $5. Next time im leaving the sticker on if they have one.
