At First, I was respectful of your decision about the story and the changed multiplayer, but to say Call of Duty: Classic was better.. well thats not right.

Ratchet Crack in Time. What an utterly disappointing game. By far the worst in the series. I don't know if I'm outgrowing it, but it lost all of its charm. It wasn't funny, the platforming sucked, and it felt like Insomniac removed features as the series progressed. Oh and terrible voice acting on all parts. Characters sucked too.

Damnation. That game is really, really bad.

I'm going with nyc05 in terms of that I didn't raise my expectations in regards to hype/media attention. I enjoyed what I got, though I didn't get nearly as many games as I would have liked but I was still pleased with my choices.

Wow... all the hate on prototype. I'm glad I chose Infamous preorder over prototype but both games looked amazing to me. I'm still kinda nervous now as I just picked up a copy of prototype for $25.

Prototype I enjoyed it at first but it got really boring the storyline was weak the character weren't interesting at all the city was quite dull unlike inFAMOUS were the people in the street they interact with you in Prototype it's like they don't even notice you. Personally I'm getting sick of all these sandbox games the only ones I found that were great was Red Faction Guerrilla as it was something different and smashing up buildings and hitting EDF soilders with a hammer is fun. inFAMOUS was good I just didn't like how slow it could take getting to a place and getting attacked all the time by reapers would get annoying apart from that inFAMOUS was good the ending was worth playing the game for.

I have to include Mini Ninjas in some ways it's decent game but once getting near the final stage it gets extremely annoying the levels just look they were reused over and over and the story wasn't great and the camera angles would get annoying but it was a decent game some good ideas were put into it.

Why do you use caps for the famous part of InFamous? But yeah i agree it gets the same after awhile. But its not a bad game.

Edit-8.5 is a great score. It was just lost in a sea of great games. Uncharted 2 coming out the same day did not help that much either.

Brutal legend, never mind that...Resident evil 5?! Are you serious? I loved that game. Sure its different then Resident evil 4. But 5 is just so.... so awesome-sauce!

RE5 was hyped very much and there was serious talk for GOTY for it before it came out. RE4 was GOTY and it was an AAA. The ads were everywhere, and people were excited for the sequel to RE4. It only averaged about a 85% score, it is dissed heavily by fans, and it was forgotten because of all the other games that came out in 2009.

Here's how prototype worked. I preordered it, got my little Alex Mercer figurine, started playing, LOVED IT. The concept is great. An hour (or less) later you realize how bad the mechanics are, how contrived and boring the story is, how dated the graphics are, and how fricken repetitive the missions are.

I had so much hope for it. so sad :(

I have not played that many flops....

For me though it would be Prototype. I heard great things about it (very early on) and was excited to finally play it. Within about two minutes I was already starting to hate the game. There were so, so many flaws. I was suprised it didn't make it onto gamespots list of worst in game advertising (or whatever is was). Yeah the billboards made sense in the city, but you think they could have spent some of the advertisement money on the actual game.

Idk I loved Killzone 2 and it got great reviews and sold good so idk if thats a flop. My flop for this year would have to be brutal legend cause damn lol Jack Black sucks. :P FLAME SHEILDShortbob

Operation Flashpoint & Dragon Age. I couldn't get into Dragon Age because I prefer an RPG with shooter elements such as Mass Effect/Fallout 3. I wanted to give Dragon Age a chance, but I couldn't keep my eyes open.shaunchgo

i will join the masses as citing prototype for being the most hyped peice of digital poo i own. although i am still playing it through, i intend to get my moneys worth out of my poo :P

Prototype sold a couple milllion copies across systems, so it isn't a flop.

Riddick: Dark Athena sales were dissapointing. 300,000 copies. Bionic Commando's sales were also disappointing, around that number.

I havent played many 09 games yet,but of the ones i have played CiT is probably the biggest disappointment for me too. I still think it was a good game, just weakest of the series.
