wow let it go it's just one game.... jeez i'd rather complain over halo 3 not being on PS3.... considering it was at some point supposed to be on the PS3..... !!!!!!!! just get over it and enjoy the PS3 exclusives

It sounds like a config file for some sort of media compression library or something like that. Since this is a console specific release and it has params for the PS3...I really doubt it was created for the game. In other words: Don't get your hopes up over this.

If this game does come to the PS3, it will be at least 6 months, probably a year. Even that's unlikely though. Sony was able to keep alot of games exclusive to the PS2 because they lead the market, and now Microsoft has that advantage. All they have to do is cut the rate 2k pays for each game sold for the XBOX 360. 2K then saves by not paying to develop a PS3 version and gets more per game sold on 360....if that's more than what they think they will make - they do it. Given the cost to develop for the PS3 & 360 right now and the very low installed base of the PS3....it's probably not hard to make up that much money.

Confirmed is when the developers or publishers says it. This is a rumour, so stop with the misleading title.

In the past week or two PSU turned out to be an incredibly unreliable source. You guys can believe this, but I don't.

Being the person that I am, I use to be a developer (Morphgear and other branches) and I'm getting pretty upset with these rumors about Bioshock coming to PS3. With this info, it's pretty misleading if this is going to be on PS3 or not, it could be clearly a typo or a hint that the game is "Timed" for Microsoft platforms. Thusly, overall I decided to help ya'll bury this lingering question and emailed one of the personal of 2kgamesto rectify this situation aka make a statement to clear this up. Please do not make anymore threads about this people, it's merely speculation and can only be proven by 2Kgames saying something about it. If I recieve an email from 2Kgames or find a new statement by them, I will post the new info in a thread that I hope will end this rumor mill.

How is that a confirmation? Simply put, it is not. It is just something to fuel the fire more, but it in no way confirms that BioShock will come out for the PS3.

I do believe that unless MS pulls out their check book again that it will come to the PS3. I sure hope it does because I just picked it up for the 360 today and nobody should miss out on this awesome game.

I never said that Feder confirmed that Bioshock was coming to the PS3, mainly because he never sayed the word "Bioshock" to me. I said it was a possibility that he was referring to Bioshock. I also understand that my experience is not conclusive proof because I was the only person there while we had the conversation.Sir_BIGnuts

What makes this game so good that it requires people to post about every little scrap of "ps3 confirmed" every three minutes? Wait until an actual firm source is given, and then you can be happy, until then, you are just reassuring the 360 people that they have something that you want on their console. No one here is going to want to believe me, but I caddied for Ben Feder, the CEO of Take 2 Interactive, at last week's Member-Guest Tournament at Sankaty Head Golf Club on Nantucket. The Member-Guest is a 3 day tournament in which a member of the club selects a non-member to play golf in the tournament. Well, Ben Feder was the guest of my member, Dick Lowry. During some small talk between the two ofus, Mr. Feder asked me if I played video games when he revieled to me that he was CEO of Take 2. When he asked me what systems I game on, I told him primarily PS2, PC, and PS3 more in the future. He then suggested that Take 2 was in the midst of making what he called a "big time game...that will be available this fall on XBox 360 and PC and will eventually come to the Playstation 3." While I'm not saying that this suggested title is Bioshock, that certainly sounds like a possibility. Again, I know that a lot of people are going to doubt my story, but it did happen. Feder also went on to say that the company is developing a game that is "not going to make the Christmas '07 deadline, or the Easter '08 deadline, but will appear in the summer of '08." Please do not flame the hell out of this post, I am just repeating to all of you forum goers what I have been told by the CEO himself.Sir_BIGnuts
