i want so much mass effect 2 on my ps3! the first one was So awesome, the best rpg the since kotor for me. what do you guys think? and mostly do you want mass effect 2 on ps3? oh come on this game should not be xbox exclusive , it is unfair! at least dragon age is coming to ps3 too.

Already have Mass Effect and I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel but if it ever comes out on PS3 I'll definitely buy it again for PS3. Seriously it's THAT good of a game (I love it!).azzezino

I think PS3 and 360 fans should both be able to enjoy this game but i can say that i dont really care what system it comes out for as i have both systems and i am not a fanboy.

One way or the other i dont think Bioware would announce anything untill after the 360 version is released. They wouldn't want to hurt the 360 sales. Plus they have seen other 360 RPG games come out a year later on the PS3 with a little more extra content and still sell for the full price so they can just follow this same idea.

Sorry you did mean the first game. I just dont get why people buy the same game for two systems.

I've been saying it since the EA acquisition of BioWare - there's a good chance of Mass Effect coming to the PS3. It's easy to see why, too. Upon the acquisition of BioWare, EA, not BioWare, controls the Mass Effect IP. When have we known EA to make exclusive titles?

Notice the coy comments from both BW and EA? "We've only announced it for PC and 360...at this time". "At this time, we have nothing to announce for PS3".

Curious wording, don't you think?

The only point we're not privy to the details on post-buyout is in regards to the previously signed publishing/exclusivity deal between MS and BW before EA bought BW. I haven't heard what rights, if any, MS retains due to the prior deal. It wasn't their IP to begin with, so I'd be surprised if they still had any rights.

That prior contract, though, could be why we're only hearing about Mass Effect on the 360 and PC; perhaps in light of the prior deal, MS argued for some sort of timed exclusivity, or permanent exclusivity depending on the previous contract (and if the check was big enough).

It's all speculation at this point, but it stands to reason now that EA owns and controls the IP that it would make its way to the PS3. After some sort of window, of course.

As for me wanting it on PS3, about 13 months ago I would have, but now I play Mass Effect on my PC, so whether or not it comes to the PS3 isn't an issue for me.

Just get a decent PC and call it a day. RPGs are 1000x better on PCs.

Mass Effect on the PS3 would be terrific. I loved the original and have high hopes for the sequel. But let's not get ahead of ourselves - Mass Effect and its sequels are currently only playable on the 360 and the PC. It's still cause for some hope though.

hope it comes out, otherwise i will have to get a new 360 just for this game...sounds crazy but sadly Bioware owns my soul

Mass Effect 2 will most likely come to PS3 at some point (once the exclusivity runs out), but I really hope they go back and release part 1 first, so all of us Playstation users can get the whole story.

it won't be prfitable if they released the game on the PS3, the PS3 isn't meant for these games, Fable, Fallout, Mass effect.....etc ...............what i am really hoping for is better JRPGs or Parasite eve 3, that would make up for anything, and i mean anything that the x360 has over the PS3., at least for me.

It's not xbox exclusive...it's also on the PC
