People that are bad at call of duty, hate it. End of story.-Rinder-
Makes perfect sense, because being bad at a game clearly snuffs out the haters. I played the game on veteran like it was a cake eating contest(easy as hell). For the online I got bored and picked up Quick Scoping and was pretty damn good at it. In a month I became very good at it, and was the only thing I enjoyed doing in the game, as far as Multiplayer goes.

I do admit to trying very hard to hate Call Of Duty

But MW1 was just awesome. MW2, while severly over-hyped, was a decent follow up(single player wise) but the multi-player was just a flop in my opinion.

Now, with Black Ops, It seems like they have a very interesting time to set the story in (cold war era is pretty interesting IMHO) and it looks like they have tweaked the multi player with a few modes that insist on skill to win, not just the ability to unlock a sniper rifle and find a good hiding spot.

What's wrong with treyarch trying to grab a little of MW2's selling power? After all, the only reason MW2 sold so well was because MW1 was truely epic.

So if Black Ops sells well, and is still a fun game, what's the problem?

Like I say, i really try to hate call of duty. I hate that we get an average game at an extortionate price every year, i hate that we get extortionate DLC prices (delayed, but still priced stupidly on PS3) but you have to admit that the short time you are playing the SP, you are completely engrossed.

Roll on Black ops is all i'm saying.

Can't wait

Of all the ways people play COD, you call out legit, "hard-scoped" sniping? People that actually snipe are almost the ONLY people in the game who could be considered to be "playing right".

They're both terrible games and it saddens me that people purchase them.

Melpoe

They're not terrible... MW2 wouldn't have sold 25 million copies if it was. Anyway, Black Ops will never beat MW2. Nothing ever will. That thing is an anomaly. It's an economic monstrosity that only exists in a crazy market like the video game market.

By that logic (which I hear very often) we should judge games solely on sales. So MW2 would be the greatest game ever made.

What games do you loath? What if they sold exceptionably well like Mw2, would that mean they deserve it? Can someone at least explain to me why MW2 is so great? I spent $60 just like everyone else, I loved Cod 4 like everyone else, and I was sadden like most people when MW2 came out.

Short, poorly written campaign, and MW2 was also the only game I was interested in the online, but I wont let the terrible online judge how I feel on the campaign alone. Again my opinion, and do not tell me hating COD is a trend, maybe it is just really that poor of a game?(not directed towards you in general Guracy, just most people say it's cool to hate cod)

No offense taken. I just think the production values are great and the campaign really immersed me in the battles. The setpieces weren't like anything I'd ever seen before, particularly the snowmobile one. The story wasn't all that great, but at least it was original and felt rather real, and a big emotional impact on me, but I guess everything contributed to that (the soundtrack, for one, which was outstanding). It got my blood pumping and I was exhilarated every second of the campaign that I played.

CoD isn't for everyone. Just like women, Fight Club, and Twix Chocolate Candy. :p

I don't see Black Ops outselling MW2 at all. All of my friends who played MW2 (even the ones who love it) are not getting Black Ops. Activision is a horrid company and they aren't seeing a penny of my money for this crap series. I also do not relate game sales to how great a game is. Just because more people like it doesn't make it better than a less recognized game. Give me Demon's Souls or Uncharted 2 over MW2 or any COD game any day.

Well i think there was a report or something saying preorders were higher than MW2.... SO i think Pachter is wrong... might be right in that all the MW2 players have preordered and then some but the sales after release might be what holds it back... Only time will tell.

Thats nice, pretending to be a victim to Activision. Because all the stuff they are doing is somehow hurting you personally? Rofl. Stop trying to be like everyone else you see on the forums. Half of the people on here don't even know exactly what Activision is doing bad. And don't say they are milking franchises, EA and them been doing it since the PS2 era. I'm not defending them, i'm just pointing out that people need to stop saying the same crap over and over. Evey time a thread about CoD appears, all the haters come on and have to tell us fans over and over about their hate for the game. This thread didn't even concerned you, so i have to ask just why did you come here to emphasize your UC2 > MW2 case (two completely different games)?

Wow!

So you took a point that i was trying to make about how i'm hoping to enjoy this new Call of Duty and attacked an example of online play that just bugs me.

I could have mentioned 20 other ways that COD online pisses me off. But i was trying to argue that COD:BO will be better than the previous couple of games.

..

It is pedantic nit-picking like that, that makes the general community hate Call Of Duty fanboys.

Im really looking forward to Black Ops. Seeing I thought the Online in MW2 sucked. It was like IW was trying to do to much, but I dont know that just my opinion, and will see how Black Ops turns out. The real question though is how the next COD will turn out with Sledgehammer behind the developing.

It won't beat MW2 in sales, but I bet it will be a better game than MW2.

Pachter loves to add fuel to the fire. Activision probably paid him to say this. Seeing as how some celebrities get paid $10k per tweet just to advertise for said company, I wouldn't be surprised if Pachter got a wad of cash for making this comment. :P He's entertaining at least. :P
