I have been playing with my kid and my kid has expressed interest in sports games. I have been considering the above two titles and wondered if anyone has played either of them.

How old is your kid? If he's less than 13-14 years old then get the PSN one, Blitz: The League II is basically a football game where the point is to win by injuring the other team's members, using drugs, etc.

I was considering Blitz because the games are short...thank you for your responses. Madden is one I am also considering.

A nice light sports games that a kid might like is EA's 3 on 3 NHL Arcade. Its available on PSN for $9.99.

The regular EA NHL games are quite good but there's not that much difference between them, you can probably find NHL 11 for $10 to $15.00 now.

as someone previously stated madden would be better for a kid, and you can adjust the time per quarter to make the game as short as you want. I havent tried the PSNblitz but if its like the original arcade or 64 version then that should be quite a bit of fun.
