Really dumb question: Does the PS3's blu-ray player upconvert ordinary DVDs? I'm presuming all blu-ray players do this by default, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks.

Which I am. I had gotten one from the Sony blu-ray player that I had for a little bit before getting the PS3. My parents have the player now, heheh.

Full screen? Got it. Why, otherwise it does Widescreen? Is that a bad thing?

Yea i think you'll get your dvd output in widescreen or 4:3 if you dont set it to FULL-depending on what format is on the dvd your playing.
