Bodycount, What do you think?

For some reason I haven't seen anything on this until today. I personally think it looks like fun... The aiming down sights looks like it sucks and the graphics look a little dated but other then that it looks ok to me. Dont get me wrong I wouldn't pay 60 bucks for it but it does look like it is worth playing. Thought?

looks like a pretty mediocre game. Like most new IP's, unless it gets above a 90 metascore, Im waiting till it gets like 15 bucks preowned then ill buy it pre owned.

I already started a topic about this yesterday - The demo sucks rocks. Just embarrassingly bad. And a shame, as these were the folks behind "BLACK", one of my favorite FPS of last-gen. It blows pony-loaf. A complete and utter joke. might have been interesting in 2002, but today it's pathetic, and if you have been watching all of the "hype" they have put out, you feel even worse for these toolbags who sit there and proclaim it "new" and "cutting edge"... Must be how George W. felt every time he addressed the country - "I don't believe what I'm saying for a nano-second, but hopefully YOU do..."

The demo's out now if you want to give it a try. I'm downloading it now, I'll give you my opinions once I've played through it.

Disappointing and probably not worth the money. The graphics seem dated, aiming is unresponsive, and gun play combined with sounds don't make it much more fun. Add on the fact that the ability to shred through cover feels more like a gimmick than anything and you can see why that demo is probably going to do more to hurt the game's sales than help it.

the "cover" system is horrible, leaning out from your position by holding a button. Feh. I found the disturbing amount of times I zeroed in only to have the game interpret that I was ducking behind some knee-wall that wouldn't cover a runway model, halt my strafe, and glue my feet to the ground while I got shot up by a big goofey lookin' black dude who looked like he just stepped out of "Double Dragon"... And all of the different color Skittles scattering all over, *snore*

I wouldn't pay $10 for it or waste my HDD space. That "CounterStrike" knock-off that came out earlier this year at least had the presence of mind and self-awareness of the industry to only charge $8 for that game ("Modern Combat: Domination" I think it was called?)

It's basically Black 2. (made by same developers)

But Black is better than Bodycount. The developers didn't really do anything to make it better than Black. It's a sub par game.
