Can you and someone else in the same room play a split screen co-op together?

and is it like the same exact thing as 1 player? going through the story and all that?

As long as you don't mind the narrower field of view caused by splitting the screen, it is a pretty fun way to play.

I've actually got a question of my own concerning Borderlands co-op, online question though.

How exactly does it work? Is it friends list only? Or do you go into a "Looking For Group" queue, find someone who wants to do the same quests you do, and go from there? I only ask because none of my buddies have/want Borderlands, or don't have a PS3, and I'd really like to have a co-op experience in it.

well you can join a random game or join a friends game, or even make your own and specify if you want just friends or random people aswell, you basically have a list of games showing where the person is up to in story mode, what playthrough he is on, what class and level he is and how many people are in thegame currently, also the most recent feature is if he or she has the same downloadable content as you, then you will be able to see it so you can look for a partner for downloadable content games. its an amazing co op game, and also there has been a release with the new downloadable content where all 4 players can be in 1 tank and each do something or you can split up into 2 cars

Nice! That sounds really convenient. I don't have Borderlands yet, and I recently got my PS3 so my friends list is really short, so I was worried that I'd have to miss out on Borderlands, I thought you might have to start a fresh game with someone from the friends list. Thanks for clearing that up!
