Everytime I play it and it starts to the load, it makes this heartbeat noise within my ps3.

Is this a bad sign?

Not sure what you mean by heart beat noise but try installing the data and see if that helps.

When it's loading. Imagine while waiting for a fight to begin and hearing a rhythmic sound coming from the ps3. The game works but I wonder for how long.

I think I might know what you're talking about and that's the bluray drive hunting the disc for the data it needs.

It shouldn't have to access the disc as much, thereby reducing the noise as well as the load times significantly.

Why not. The only other thing I can think of making a noise like that would be the disc being warped...maybe. I would imagine a difficult time getting it in the PS3 if that were the case though.

Just reinstalled it, still makes the noise though. I just don't want gamestop running off with my money.

That was fast. I recall my install taking like 20 minutes. You could always swap the disc and see if it helps.
