I'm going to pick it up on payday. I want to read some reviews. But it is some fresh air in the FPS market. Which reminds me I need to pick up bulletstorm.
Scored about what I had expected it to, the game just looked too generic to me. I guess everyone will decide for themselves but I'm pretty sure it's not gonna warrant a purchase from me at least.
I have actually been really enjoying it. Granted I don't have access to online play and the AI is sort of lame (not the worst but not great), but 6 seems low to me. I would give it a 7/10 as of now assuming online play is so so. 7.5 to 8 if online is awesome.
I have the PC version and it's awesome, none of the gltiches that the console versions seem to have. However, I couldn't imagine playing this game singleplayer only, it the AI is just awful. Playing with others is where it truly shines.

It deserved at least a 7.5 . . Why? It's a mess at launch.
I don't think this game had alot of hype overall. Maybe a few people thought it would be good, but I think to many it just looked a generic shooter with characters wearing hockey masks. I personally thought it looked average from the beginning. I kept getting this game and "Bodycount" confused. This one looks like it turned out average at best, Bodycount might be so bad it'll end up vapor-ware (the guy that created it left the studio like 6 months ago and nothing has been heard from the game since then).
Watched friends play the game on 360 last night.. Not impressed.. The mechanics look clunky.. Aiming seems to be a real hassle which makes things worse with how fast some peopel are moving thanks to parkour.. And the over abundance of weapons at first seems cool.. But outside of skin model I was noticing no real difference outside of the looks..
I figured it would get slammed in the reviews because it honestly didn't look too interesting to begin with. The parkour game play, while cool, looked extremely clunky and way too limited. If they wanted to do first-person parkour correctly, they should have just ripped off Mirrors Edge's system because it was absolutely perfect. Other than that, nothing else really stood out to me; it seemed like yet another generic shooter.

the gameplay is solid. all the issues that it was rated a 6.0 for can be patched or added through dlc. That's one of my major gripes with game companies though, put out a mess of a game and fix it after enough people buy it. Pitiful. Devs need to put out a quality product to start with, not a rushed, problematic game.
I like how the game give you tons to do offline, freeplay and challenges so you dont get stuck doing the campaign over and over again like battleifield bad company 2. With my opinion on the game, after playing it all day yesterday? I truely do not believe Brink deserve the 6.0 from IGN but then again IGN has been known for the lack of their "pwning" abilities. Those guys would rather play tictactoe indoors on a sunny day. Anywho for now I'll just be waiting for the pre-order bonus when PSN is back up. 8)
lol rollerblading Word on the street aint good about this game so far which is a let down for me given the hype they pushed for it. Ill still give it a go :)

This game has potential. On the RARE occasion the bot AI comes together and works towards the same goal for over 30 seconds, the game can be a lot of fun and "simulate" playing with real players (or so I hope). PSN being down is killing me with this game though because the bot AI is so terrible. So many times where a single enemy bot takes out 3 or 4 of my teammates because they're too busy staring at the ground. I can't complete the 2nd part of the Objectives challenge because my teammates are so god damn stupid.

I could get it for 40.00. . . but idk if its worth it now.. lolYoung_Charter
Unless it pulls off good sales it'll probably be 30-40 usd at all retailers soon... i'm interested in it, but i'm not interested in giving full price for it with stuff like L.A. Noire and Infamous 2 'round the corner.

I honestly Think it's underrated. It really is a Mirror's Edge, Team Fortress 2, Borderlands, and Call of duty fusion. I think they were really trying to put a little bit of everything on this game.

i feel like its mediocrity in its finest its like a jack of all trades yet a master of none to me it feels like they wanted to add in so much that it does nothing to really stand out in the sea of fps games i find the freerunning to be shallow the classes are what nearly every other fps game
I know one thing. Everyone who has done a review on it gives it a bad score. Just another game with a great cg vid for the game that turns out to be way off base.
Brink is a terrible, terrible excuse for a game. It feels like an alpha build of a so-so concept that has undergone no testing, no improvements, and no design modifications since first inception. The graphics are awful, the maps are bland, and the parkour is busted. It is abyssmal in nearly every way. I have a full review posted if you care to read all of my gripes, but for the forums it will do to just simply say that it sucks and isn't worth the time it takes to load it into the disc tray.
