Is "traffic check" back in Paradise? I haven't had the chance to download the demo yet. huriona
No, but Paradise City is like 74 miles or something, I'm definitely buying it.
Hell no.
I heard that there is no splitscreen multiplayer, which kind of defeats the point of a racing game for me. I only get into racing games if I'm playing with friends (and I don't mean online), so forget it. I really hate this trend away from local multiplayer... some of us still like to play with friends actually in the room.
But maybe I was misinformed. If it does have splitscreen after all, then I might consider it, but I'm wary of the whole freeroaming thing...
hm, i know the demo isn't local multiplayer, but i hope the full game is...

People in this thread seem pretty sure that it's not:

They claim that Criterion announced the lack of splitscreen during a podcast...
What a letdown. I guess my friends and I will just have to keep playing Excite Truck, as Wii seems to be the only system where developers aren't abandoning the idea of local multiplayer. (this is the reason I didn't buy Motorstorm)

YES Traffic check is back! what are you talking aboout. Its just harder and you have to be lucky or pull the ebrake before impacti've got this game pre-ordered and paid off. The demo, the more I play it, just blows me away. You can achieve the same speeds as burnout revenge, but now you can do it wherever and whenever you want. After your first massive barrel roll, you'll be hooked :) I love it the more I play it. Burnout + Open world = :D I hate regulation competitive racing... as I don't like playing with most peeps online... they always lame the heck out of me. This will provide more fun than just races :)
I'm not sure, the demo felt a lot like need for speed: most wanted.
I like the old fasion Burnout, but i might get this one just to try something new.
YUP YUP! :D
For as along as I know myself I only enjoyed few racing games.
Most recently DiRT is very good.
From all time history I prefer Ridge Racer and Grand Turismo, time to time Formula 1.
Burnout didn't appeal to me.
The satisfaction of going as fast as you can, hitting the nitrous as long as you can, then suddenly smashing into something as you watch the carnage unfold is the main reason I am getting burnout. The mustang/gto is so much fun to destroy over and over in the demo. I wish there were people in the cars but I can see why there is not, most of the crazy crashed would be decapitations or instant ejections from the car. Sign me up!
One thing that was sorely missing in the demo and simply has to be in the full game for me to make a purchase (highly likely it will or EA will be shooting themselveves in the foot.) is an instant restart button for any event that you are participating in.
having to restart that 1.20 min race by having to race all the way back to the start already got rather anoying, imagine the full game with 6 min races and whatnot.

Yeah some previewers already stated that, so i hope the developers took notice of this. If not..i would get it anyway
this game is like skateboarding with cars: flatspins, barrel rolls, power slides, airtime, mega wipeouts
I already love the highspeed races, and now with the reallistic crashes...i just love it
Finally a good racing game since motorstorm

agreed, why do many games not implement simple two player splitscreen. two player coop for cod4 would have been nice
