For any of you that have Call of Duty 3: is it worth buying.  I currently have resistance, motorstorm, and oblivion, and ima need something to do over the summer while i wait for Rainbow Six Vegas which comes out sometime in the middle of June.  I've heard some of the most common knocks against it is the fact that WWII shooters are plain getting old.  I've never played WWII shooters (other than resistance if that counts) so that won't be a problem.  How's the online?  Also i'm thinking buying it on ebay so i'll probably get it for about $40.  Overall what are some positives/negatives?

It's good if you haven't played CoD2. It's alright if you've played CoD2.

amazing game, fast, looks great and very fun to play.

my fav fps for the ps3, not without its faults though....... framerate issue when the screen gets 'really busy' but nothing major or anything to write home about, but just letting you know :)

p.s. rowing in that boat with people shooting at me, rowing using the sixaxis WAS STRESSFULL AND DIFFICULT.

LOL

COD3 online is my main game right now.  Not buggy.  Every now and then someone will lag but its extremely rare.  Getting into matches isn't always easy since they make sure the connections are similar to try to ensure no lag.  WAR is one of my fav. online game modes.  There are 3 or 5 flags that you have to capture by being around the flag for so long. Then you move on to the next until you have them all.  It really brings everyone on the map to the same spot, so it gets intense quick.

However, with Vegas less than a month away (scheduled for June 12).  I'd almost say you might wanna just wait for that.

online is fun, but singleplayer is such a bore, in fact i still haven't completed it yet with no plans on even trying to. Anyway the gameplay is still solid, with the exception of some glitches for example flying across the map as you try to whack someone with the opponents flag during a ctf battle.

The best choice to play COD3 is the multiplayer modes, it's fun and attracts a lot of attention. Offline mode is short but intense. It's a good game...

First of all, let me say that Call of Duty 2 was amazing, so thats the reason I bought Call of Duty 3. After playing Call of Duty 3, it felt like it was missing lots! I mean, I think a different team worked on Call of Duty 3 than Call of Duty 2. If I were you, I wouldn't buy Call of Duty 3, but instead Call of Duty 2.
