Neither, really. CoD dropped in quality after 2, and Operation Flashpoint 2 is an abomination of a once great franchise.pyromaniac223Call of Duty dropped in quality? Yes, I will say the Treyarch CoD games are not very good but Infinity Ward is doing an amazing job with the franchise.
MW2 gets my vote. I do not think that PF: DR will be much of a contender based on what I know about the game.
Operation Flashpoint looks surprisingly good.
I'm getting MW2 regardless, but...could this be a MW2 killer if it catches on?
Maybe I pre-ordered the wrong game? Can't wait to see some OF:DR reviews.
For now, I would rather have Operation Flashpoint. For the PC, of course, creating levels, editing maps, more people in multiplayer, and more people in Co-Op.
Both. One for the awesome Tactical based Warfare and the other for the not so tactical based Warfare.K1LLR3175lol couldn't agree more. im a tactical shooter fan myself MW2 is a twitch shooter which is fine and fun for a bit but i prefer tactical, though im getting both.
There really shouldn't even be a debate here. Operation Flashpoint while it may offer unbelievable realism and military-like simulation qualities it won't deliver nearly the sensory experience that Modern Warfare 2 will. The fact that it's budgeted at $39.99 from the start suggests that the magazines like Game Informer whom have been ragging on the game's graphics might be onto the fact that the game's visual aspect might not have been as well implemented as their simulation like aspects. I hear the animation is a bit rough around the edges as well. The game looks dated but it is discounted as such. I will wait to see what the verdict is. I was looking for ward to it more than MW2 to be honest but as the both approach near, MW2 has more of my interest.GingerDeadManIt costs $60 man but only 40 on the PC, what have you been reading?

ive read that the graphics have a more "rugged" feel on purpose.
hey, it happens. For me, Im going for Operation Flashpoint DR. Lets face it, Call Of Duty games are getting a little stale. Playing online, there is a defining lack of teamplay options. When comunicating with your team on CoD, you'll tell a guy to flank left and what does he say? "Screw Off You n00b". Seriously, basically, your playing "lone wolf" every single match, getting killed every 2-3 seconds. Plus, getting kills on that game requires no skill at all. All you gotta do is have perfect reaction time. Not saying you that you can have no reaction time plossible but still. Besides, I like Treyarch more than Infinity Ward. You're comparing a possible GOTY to a game half the people on this board probally never heard of.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Mutt523
definitely getting modern warfare 2. no doubt about that.
most probably getting OF:DR2. will look at reviews first, then getting it at the first sight of good reviews.
