Can I get 1080i from a hdmi to DVI cord?

Hi im getting a ps3 tomorrow and I was gonna buy today a HDMI to DVI cord because my tv has a dvi port on the back.

am I gonna have a problem with the HDCP thing?

as long as your tv supports hdcp you should be fine.

I think you can even Get 1080p from HDMI to DVI

cause i know with some cable converter, you can connect ur ps3 to your Super OLD monitor,

and achieve 1080p even if the monitor only has anolog input.

well my tv can only do 1080i but I found out on the hitachi website under the inputs it says DVI(HDCP) so I guess im good.como61
