I cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere. I wanna get a psp pretty bad cause i spend alot of time at college and with the high price of gas its not economical to drive back and forth between classes. My college is completely WIFI so no matter where i go im connected. Can i play games like rainbow 6 online with the psp. My one friend is telling me that you can only play with ppl that are in the same room with you. But ive learned better than to believe one persons answer. So any help would be appreciated

Look on the back of a particular game; if the game only lists "ad hoc", it only supports local network play. If it supports "infrastructure" it *probably* supports online play. However, infrastructure can also simply mean that there is downloadable content for the game.
How do i kno which games can i play "globally" and which games are like "same room" games?

ad hoc is "same room" games; creates a temporary network just for that game, which is more or less what ad hoc means. Infrastructure means the game has some sort of internet functionality; if you see infrastructure and a number of players listed next to it on the back, it supports online play
