Can I use a Dyson hoover to clean my ps3?

My ps3 is kept in a very dusty area and I think the insides are getting clogged because my ps3 has started freezing. The only hoover we have is a Dyson (purple and grey with the ball, can be called 'the animal'). It is powerful so I don't know if i can use it safely on the ps3 vents without damaging it.

NO. Do not use a dyson!!! or any hoover.... The static that hoover produces will kill your PS3. Even if you dont see it break the first time you use it the chances are you have still damaged it.

NO! That vacuum cleaner is way too powerful. Use a small handheld one. Don't use canned air either unless you want to blow dust deeper into your PS3.

I've used my dyson on my ps3 before. With the attatchment of course and not straight on...put it on an angle a bit and not right on the ps3...

I wouldn't recommend spraying compressed air into your system like one of the above posters mentioned...

Buy some canned air. 5 quid a tin should last a good 5 cleans.marcbeau7650

Use a handheld vacuum or something less powerful. Vacuuming is TOTALLY safe, it's actually recommended in the PS3 user manual.Flame_Blade88

I'd really like to know where you people got the idea that canned/compressed air is better for the PS3 when Sony has use a vacuum printed right there in the owners manual. Just becuase something works with PC's doesn't mean the same thing will work with a PS3.
