You can... But that doesn't mean you should. You will just cause a lot of feedback, they don't work well as a mic.BoD_GOA_French

That's not completely true, if the camera is behind the tc speakers, ( or on top of the tv ) then the sound won't ge picked up as well. After the Eye came out, you could tell who was using it by how clear their voices were.
