Can Killzone2, Socom and other fps really.....

....top the mighty CoD4?

In my opinion they face a really tough competitor. I have never ever seen a game more lifelike than CoD4. Not only are the graphics great, but the developer have also got the "right" death animations, feel of the different weapons etc. My worries when it comes to Killzone 2 is not that the graphics wont match those of CoD4(I expect they will and will be hugely disappointed if not)but will they manage to get the "feeling right". I must admit that the videos of the game so far have been a little disappointing. My negativity relates to the colour palette of the game and so far; has the game better graphics than CoD4?(An other thing but of less importance, is the fact that the main characters does not wear helmets in a war situation. Why?)

When it comes to Socom; why should I buy that game when the online part of CoD4 is the best thing I have ever tried(I repeat this is only my opinion) The only reason I can think of is that if Socom is a more a Warhawk kind of game. With this I mean a fun, non realistic and fast pacing game which in style and gameplay is no direct competitor of CoD4.

Anyway; it is only a good thing with variation, but I hold my fingers crossed regarding Killzone2.

I prefer Warhawk to COD4.

But I think CoD4 will die a bit when Haze comes out, then it will be send to game hospital when Resistance 2 and KZ2 are out.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I still prefer the online setup and play of SoCom 2 over just about everything else. The third person action was fluid, the clan management was easier and the rankings made more sense. I'm not talking graphics. I'm talking play and setup. It was also easier to find and join your friends. There were actually server rooms that let you pick which game to join and you could great your game much easier. People tend to forget all that.

I think SoCom for the PS3 is going to be awesome. COD is great, possible the best shooter out there now, but it's far from perfect. It should be a great year.

I ditched CoD4 for good yesterday. It's just not doing it for me, I have a lot more fun playing Team Fortress 2.

My point is, people will want something new and different eventually, so even the whole progression/challenges thing will not be enough to entertain at some point.

Haze will dissapoint

No game fore awhile will match COD4 as a first person shotter Blacksite???? Turok????

Probably...COD4 is a lot of fun right now but I think it will die soon...But saying that the game to beat right now on the system in my opinion is COD4, and that includes all the other games...rahul_batta

I know that you have never tryed SOCOM. Filling the blank would be a bit hard for me. One thing I can tell you for sure though, it's not fast paced.

And about CoD 4, in my opinion it gets boring after a month or two :/ that's why I don't play it anymore. (Still is one of the greatest online games) I didn't like Single player. I can tell you one thing, Crysis is a very good game with a lot more options on how you can kill your enemy. I would never play Crysis if the gameplay was boring or just sucked. Having a game that looks great is one thing, but if it's gameplay is no good, no one will care about it.

Maybe one day you will try Crysis and it will change your mind about CoD 4 :D

With the Killzone 2 game you only seen one level of Killzone 2 but with that said Gears of War most of the colours were the same. No one complains about Gears of War when everywhere you go is a dark cooridor but they do have some colour in it but it isn't as bright. With SOCOM just look at these videos and tell me if it's unrealistic.
