i know the home thing is just a rumor for the time being, but in the rumor did it mention being able to visit other peoples homes? that would be pretty sweet

You guys and all your wishes, and hopes and dreams....they all seemed to be entirely dependent upon this weeks update...
I will believe that all of what has been announced is real when its right in front of me and I am downloading it or seeing it....
Don't get too excited because if you begin to expect more and hope more and feel that their should be more...you will be very disappointed when there is not more.

Glad somebody said it, most of everything I see being posted about this week's "update" is nothing more than rumor & speculation.Â
i'd really like to be able to play my music while playing games. that's a big issue for me. some games have horrendous soundtracks, and while racing anything I'd like to be able to listen to my own blend of tuneage.
The update will upscale ps1 and p2 game - that is confirmed. If they can do this it should be able to upscale dvd's - now that part is just logic that may be flawed.........but at least they are tapping into the upscaling potential through software solution.

Thats not confirmed. Its been rumored since the emotion engine isn't going to be used as much, games COULD potentionally go to higher resolutions but sony hasn't said so. Heck, people said background downloading was confirmed- and it wasn't even on the rumored "leaked press conference key notes".
I don't know about you guys, but all I want to do is change the god damn background, and have my own music in the background. I can't wait to play Resistance with Pantera blairing :D.
