Capcom responds to 20 min DMC install

I really don't see what all the fuss is about.

Why is 21 min such a big deal? Sure it's not the ideal situation but is it worth making a big deal out of it?

DMC was made for the PS3 and this questions the PS3's processing speed!!!

Sony was notorious for using the HDD to mask or cover up load times by forcing some games to be saved on the HDD!!!

Assasins Creed for the PS3 has similar load times when you originally play it!!!

The HDD is there to be used by the Devs and you, so them taking advantage of that is not in anyways wrong.

Then that it reduces loading speed is great, i remember not to long ago when people reported on how long it took for certain ps3 games to load compared to other versions. I guess now that the loading issue is getting handled then it is a bad thing, in the way its handled.

Yep, I bought the 5th anniversary pack in November because I'd never played them before. What disappointed me is just the pure button mashing combo system and repetitive enemies. The first game had 0 story ("I should have been the one to turn your dark soul to LIIIGGGHHHTTT!!!" anybody?) and I never felt like I was doing anything but button mashing my way through endless hoards of possessed puppets. I play DMC4 and its more of the same combo system. The graphics are nicer, but I don't feel like DMC is a series worth alot of its praise.

Well, IMHO DMC has never been much about the story but about the gameplay.

So if you think it's just button mashing, it only tells me that you're missing some of the points of the gameplay like the stylish combos. Also the difficulty, as DMC is no game for casual gamers who get frustrated with games like these.

Now, you may say it's full of crap and all, and I respect your opinion if you didn't really liked the series, but please don't talk about disappointment when you have an Advent Children avatar. Sorry.

I don't understand what the big deal is. You had to wait for Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank to install. I guess no one has ever installed a Pc game or software before.graze81

Uncharted doesn't install anything on your HDD and has Super Nintendo load times after the game has been loaded the first time. Ratchet and Clank didn't require 5GB of install space.

Capcom should have done what Naughtydog did with Uncharted.

capcom is probably just lazy like ea, they didnt want to uncompress the files (blu ray reads compressed files slower than dvdrom) so they jsut made the ps3 install so that it has almost equal load times to the 360.i really dont see any excuse for wasting 1/11 of my hardrive or in most cases 1/8 just because they didnt feel like uncompressing the files on the bd.

why mr fancy pants capcom man, has no other game had such an installation, why has no other game had any problem with loading?
