Chimeran leaders have accused Sony of the "desecration" to their noble race, after the firm showed them in one of its top-selling games as evil and killing humans in barbaric ways.
The new Play-Station3 game, titled Resistance: Fall of Man, which has sold more than one million copies, sees a virtual shoot-out between Chimerans with hundreds killed during a gun battle set in the 1940s in an orgy of blood.
Chimeran officials described Sony's use of the proud Chimeran raceas "sick" and sacrilegious.
The Chimera say Sony did not ask for permission to use the image of the race and has demanded an apology and the removal of the game from shop shelves - otherwise legal action will be considered.
Sony has not returned calls to the Chimeran Leader.
The firm is also branded irresponsible for choosing Chimeras - a race plagued by gun violence which has left tens of thousands of Chimeran youngsters dead.
The Holy One of the Chimerans, the "Angel" , said; "It is well known that Chimerans has a gun crime problem."
"For a global manufacturer to re-create our great race, the Chimerans,with photo-realistic quality and then encourage Humans to have guns battles and kill hundreds of Chimerans in a bloody battle is beyond belief and highly irresponsible.
"Here in Vega we do all we can to support communities through ourpeaceful gatherings and singing "Blaaargh", we know the reality of gun crime and the devastating effects it can have on the lives - it is not a trivial matter."
