COD 4 Patch or what?

I just tried going online in COD 4 and I get this message stating: Downloading Game Settings...

And its been 10min and it still says it. I go back to main menu and go back online and it pops up again. Has this happened to anyone? Is it some new patch or download or what?

No, it has been working the whole time, until i patched to 2.0. My rank is reset, but my clan tag is still there. And it just says that message. Its been there for over 20minutes.......Damn it i better not lose my rank. WTF is going on, it wont let me join games or nothing the message IS STILL THERE!! PS3 starting to bug me when they have new updates....jm1080

Damn i dont want to restore back to old, i dont got time for that. I just need to know if anyone have experienced this. And why is it always when new patches come out.

Also how does the whole backup thing work? Where does the backup save to?
