COD4 problems?

Yes, i still play COD4, I would play MW2 but I really dont like that game and I havnt got enough money to get BFBC2...yet
Anyways, whenever I try to play online on COD4 it jus says "downloading game settings" when i chose find game.
I have checked my connection and its great (I use a wired connection), sometimes my dad is busy downloading stuff on his computer (so that slows me down), but I even tried this when he wasnt and it still didnt work!
Is this a problem with my connection, copy of the game, or other?

I had this problem, it is a connection problem.. My PS3 is connected using an ethernet cable. I know this might sound stupid if your connected directly with a ethernet cable disconnect the cable for about 15 seconds.. then pluck it back

i have had this problem, I spent 5mins at one point waiting to connect to the online play, but i ended up returning to the xmb and restarting game and it sorted it out but lately it has been taking longer.

cod 4 is cod 4 to the cod 4. cod 4 always good for the connectio. always good for the players to. leave cod 4 to cod4
