Ever since they updated the gametypes i have been having trouble playing online. Only once while at home was i able to download the new gametypes, but since i've been back at school it will not do it. After downloading my rank info when i go to "Find Game" it will sit there with the greyish "Downloading Game Settings" screen and continuously try to bring up the playlist menu. I have let it run for 30min + and have not gotten anywhere. Since it can't get the gametypes i cannot play in any games online and its ridiculous!! If anyone has or had this problem please post here....and if u know how to fix it or any info that would help please post. I haven't played in like 3 1/2 weeks and its driving me crazy!
I just played online with no problems. I live in Hawaii so maybe its just a region problem for you or something. That has happened to be a few times but not recently. I would always just exit out to the main screen and then try again, that always helped.
COD4 servers lately got CRAPPY! The game is AWESOME when it works fine without lagging or disconnecting from a game(Host migration doesn't seem to work).

totally agree, COD4 servers have gone to **** lately.
as smooth as RESISTANCE's servers? I don't think so. They work but not everytime. It's like 50/50. Sometime the LAG kills the fun! Sometime it's LAGS FREE. It's always random. But they were better before that maintenance update that Infinity Ward conducted a while back. Something isn't right. COD4 servers need to be taken care of more often. Til this day, RESISTANCE multiplayer beats any multiplayer out there as far as online gaming goes(lag, number of players, party, mute, no diconnecting etc.....)
