component cable problem

I just bought a new component cable. I just noticed that it had 6 pins instead of 5. i bought a component cable for my ps2 a year or 2 back and it had 5 pins. but whats up with this 6 pin component cable ? i only have 5 slots for the wire , where do i put the 6th one? or is there a 5 pin component cable also?

I bought a ps3 component cable and it only has 5 pin... why don't u just use your ps2 component
