GG game director confirms that co-op wouldn't fit into the storyline and how they have things running. Oh well. I don't need it. Hopefully review scores won't suffer from it.

Yeah, I'm reading it right now in PlayStation The Official Mag's review.
This game is already a no buy for me because of no offline multiplayer. Developers are really missing potential sales.PSP107

I won't scan it, because that's illegal, but I'll give you a quote, this is in a box on page 35, "You don't need online to practice your tactical skills. A full offline suite of multiplayer options against bots works incredibly well, and adds a whole extra layer of content to the package. This mode lets you play against 15 bots on any of the four difficulty levels, splint into teams, and attempting any of the different play modes."
EDIT: Custom soundtracks are confirmed(link), and no, the magazine doesn't come with demos.
i sorry if you dont buy this game you a really different, but i guess. To each is ownTerrencec06
Well MOST games I rent cause it's cheaper AND I usually beat the living HELL out of them giving me no further reason to play.

But what about 4 players offline, ur only confirming 1 person can play with 15 bots.[QUOTE="lantus"]I won't scan it, because that's illegal, but I'll give you a quote, this is in a box on page 35, "You don't need online to practice your tactical skills. Split-screen is not in it, as far as I can tell.WTF?? u guys were really expecting to be an offline coop in killzone 2??!! Ye the ps3 has a LOT of potential but is in the code, and most of the coding is still to be found to able the ps3 to run games really REALLY high. the game is playing single player at 30 fps locked nad u wanted coop? thats like rendering the same game 2 times in the same system. The games looks **** awesome so just be happy that someone even had the balls to go forward with such a beautifull game.
Peace.

1st off does Call of Duty has 4 player splitscreen and ppl are happy with the graphics. 2nd gameplay> graphics. I still take 007(n64) over most FPS games todaySounds like a rental. Well it's always been a rental for me but this gives me more reason to deem it a rental.thegame1980Yea, I'd definitely rent this game first, how many games like this have we seen touted as amazing and turned out to be total duds? Reminds me of when people thought Heavenly Sword and Lair was just beyond anything we've seen before, and we know how those ended up. So renting KZ2 is not a bad idea at all.
Doesn't bother me, but i bet some review scores will suffer because of this.lusitanogamerI'm with you. I'll still get it.
"Multiplayer vehicles will be patched in after the game is released. Also being patched post-launch is a co-op mode for the story. Whether this will be online or not, we're not entirely certain."

Yes I totally agree.[QUOTE="thegame1980"]Sounds like a rental. Right because online multiplayer carries no substance in terms of wanting to keep the game for a longer period of time. And your calling Heavenly Sword a total dud, you clearly haven't played it? Oh wait you don't even own a PS3.

I dunno what sort of crazy expectations you guys have, but I expected a single player with a good story that was fun to play through, and thats what I got and then some. Yeah the lack of true offline multiplayer and co-op is sad, but to say that the game will be a dud or is not worth playing because it lacks these features is just stupid. Your going to be missing on a lot of good gaming, and multiplayer gaming.
