What are some of the most frustrating games you have played?

Aw hell. There have been many through out my life. Some were either bad days, or poor programming. One of those "poof!" out of no where moments where you say out loud "WTF JUST HAPPENED??!!" Like you suddenly die for no reason and it just keeps happening.
Though, I've never been in anger playing against anyone. It's mostly the game itself and playing alone.
One problem I've been facing lately for example is my controllers like having a mind of their own and the analog sticks get stuck some how. They just go off in any direction they feel like at the time. I honestly think it's got something to do with pressing R/L3 while the stick is up (or in any direction). Ever since I've had games that required that regularly, I've been having those problems.
Also, I don't throw but toss across my couch. I don't really feel like paying $40 for another controller. If I threw I would probably go through a lot lol
The one I can remember most is Uncharted on Crushing, until I find the spots which make it easier. I'm not very good at SFIV, so it frustrates me at times as well. I never threw the controller, but it got very close.
JAK II-Timed run to get to the stadium in green sector.
Killzone 2-Final Level and Train Level
Daxter-Second Queen Bud Boss
Rogue Galaxy-Catching an Insectoid
Street Fighter IV-Fighting Akuma with E.Honda
I destroyed one over COD 4 i just snaped because i was having a crap round on COD i threw it with some gusto across my room, hiting my guitar hero guitar and breaking that to.
so i bought a new pad and i treat this one like a queen, because it cost me £40, damn thats alot for a pad
The only time I ever threw my controller was because of GTA: San Andreas. There was this mission from the RC shop in San Fiero(?) that has you flying a rc plane and you have to kill 4 targets. The catch is that there's a fuel gauge. Well after about 15 tries, I finally kill the last person before I ran out of gas. That's when the game tells me that I have to fly back.
After about 30 tries I finally get close to roof I have to land on, only to run out of fuel 2 feet away. My plane hits the side of the building(only inches of landing on the roof) and falls to the ground. I literally sat there, staring at the mission failed screen, for 10 minutes before I got up and spiked my controller on the ground. Needless to say, it split in half and buttons went flying. I haven't played that mission since, and that was the only thing holding me back from completing the game 100%
OMG. no joke. I punched a glass clock that was next to me while doing those stupid chapter speedruns. :?Mirrors Edge by far it is fraustrating as H***.

I'm not much of a hissyfit gamer anymore. I did throw Mario Kart 64 as far as I could outside my house as a kid..
lol. Thats awesome. I would love to be just mowing the yard or something and then see a kid come out of his house and just chunk a game :P That would make my day.I'm not much of a hissyfit gamer anymore. I did through Mario Kart 64 as far as I could outside my house as a kid..

OMG Back in my Junior High days, my friend did that exact samething with Goldeneye when he couldn't beat Trevelyan on the cradle in time to unlock a cheat haha Thanks for reminding me of one of the funniest moments in my gaming life:lol: BTW Nintendo carts can take a beating
Rayman for the ps1 (the 2d rayman sidescroller). if you guys haven't played this game, try to do so. ugh. for a platformer, it's just so...ugh...i can't even explain it. i finished mirror's edge in less than 6 hours and on my first playthrough i didn't use guns to get that trophy. pretty okay if you got the hang of it. but Rayman is on another level. it's on the stratoshpere alongside Bart vs Space mutants and Battletoads. just..ugh...and tht SNES COntra with only three live. just ugh...the Konami code always comes in handy but if you dont wanna use some cheats it's jsut excruciating.
well since im a man and not a 14 year old boy i treat my property with respect and would never do this... ever... or im just really good at games
I use to throw controllers when trying to play Supermario 64 and Spiderman 64, now controllers cost an arm and a leg so I try to avoid that. On the PS3, without a doubt GTA4. Driving from point A to point B with the crappy driving mechanics just to get shot down at the very end of the misson was a nightmare...Uhh that game was so bad.K1LLR3175Wow, you really do hate GTA4.
any mario game (mainly the 3d ones) those games make me wanna kill myself. dont get me wrong i love them a lot but they are just so frustrating!!
Ninja Gaiden Sigma -- the entire f'ing game.
Force Unleashed -- Bull Rancor boss fight.
Super Stardust HD -- anytime my first death is > 1hr in.
And I don't really throw the controller...it's more like a twisting/snapping kinda deal...although I stopped that after I messed up my first Dualshock. Plus, it's not really in keeping with my Anger Management!
SF4...broke a controller a few days ago. Im very shamed of this and had to ebay another controller.
I think it is healthy to get your anger out but i think it could be done in a better way than throwing a controller. I want to buy something i can throw around that makes a loud noise but doesnt break anything. any suggestions?
playing vamp in MGS4 before reading the walkthrough....
secret of mana walking through the seasons/maze... one wrong turn would throw you off course
chrono cross trying to kill the boss with element colors in the right order
playing FN3 online against people who just sit and block/rotate their body all day
and most nintendo games w/ one hit kills ha
I broke my friends Xbox controller over Blitz: The League
I broke my PS2 controller over Blitz: The League
I punched a hole in my wall over Tony Hawk's Underground
Back in the N64 days...I stomped out one of my friends controllers because of donkey kong (I think).
I've broken like 3 sega genesis controllers from back in the day. Can't remember what games, probably sonic or one of the Lion king games .
Ps1...one or two shattered, I think one was done while playing legend of Dragoon (difficult boss battles!!!)lol.
Ps2, I have broken around 5 or 6 controllers, mostly from sports games too. I wouldnt throw them either, I would grab them by the cord and whip them to the ground. You could create TONS of speed this way, the only problem was after one meeting with the ground, you're controller is SMOKED...shatterrrrrred.
ps3 I have broken 1 SixAxis controller while playing Warhawk I think it was. I ended up twisting the thing in my hands and it kind of split open and all the R and L buttons got Merked.
I have also shattered a Rogers TV remote control. I was chucking it at my couch while playing one day and one time I missed the couch and it blew up on the wall lol.
I am a lot better now a days, I tend to just cuss really loudly.
I don't throw controllers but I swear when playing World at War on veteran. They really need to fix those hack grenades. Enemies won't even be throwing in your direction but they'll magically appear 4 feet away from you where you have to get go out of cover to throw em.
well i think my bes takes all the beating specially in COD W@W and COD 4 when i have bad internet conection.. and i remember standing up gently and start throwing heymakers to the pillows... when you empty a clip on someone and doesent die... then he turn back 2 shots of the mp40 and you are dead and hear him lough at you...... FFFF!!!!!

Yeah my controller does the same thing. Once in awhile controller magically hits the triangle button. First notice this watching a movie. Real pain in COD4. My nightvision comes on by itself, the triangle button gets pressed somehow, and the stix get stuck at times. Thats when i decided to throw my controller from a 20 story building. Well worth it.Please Log In to post.
