In regards to how xbox 360 is able to stream pc content through a router thepsp should have this option due to it connect wirelessly to the router. There should be a program for this like zune is for 360 to allow connectivity to the pc to stream.I rather this then streaming from the ps3 cause my pc offer more space.

I just use the PS3's media server to stream to my PS3 and then to my PSP via Remote Play :P The main issue is that it is only even slightly usable over a local network;the bandwidth needed makes things look pretty awful when streamed over the internet at large.

The problem is hardware standardization; the reason why it's done through the ps3 is because it's powerful (far more powerful than your average home pc) which is necessary for transcoding video quickly. Home pcs would be too inconisistent and not well recieved when you get the various complaints on why the program doesn't work.

If you dont want to buy a ps3, homebrew is another solution, but some people are too ignorant to bother, so I'll leave it at that.
