Software is most of Sonys income in the Playstation department do you think they're really gonna rush it and leave it open to the already viscious hacking attacks?
3 more days ain't that bad, but i agree, i don't think the store should be taking this long. it's probably gonna take another 2-3 weeks to get all the downloadable items up to date.

I don't really know what it takes to get the store back online but Im wondering why its taking them so long.Was it harder to get everyone back online than it is to get the store up and running,oh well few more days.
Making sure that transactions are secure is likely a very long, arduous process. And after the hack they're probably implementing all sorts of security measures, which is probably making things take even longer.
Would you rather them put the store back online with no security measures in place to make sure your information is safe or be patient and wait a few more days?
rumored return dat is june 1st since sony announced scheduled maintenance on the psn on that date and well they also said it would be back online by the end of the month, SO PROBABLY we will get it back on WEDNESDAY but it may take longer
I'm eagerly awaiting the return of the PSN store, too. Really, though, I'm oblivious to the work or lack-there-of that might be behind fixing an entire digital service -- so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they're doing their best to please the customers.
I just want to download ad hoc party, so I can finally play the original dissidia and peace walker online since I recently had my ps3 connected to a wired internet cable.
I'm growing impatient as well.....i have some dlc for borderlands i'm yet to download cause it was really slow at the time. I already purchased it though. Then i have modnation which has alot of dlc from what i hear. I just don't get the hold up but as long as they hit the deadline of jun 1st i'm ok with it. Whats a couple more days really?

I couldn't have said it better myself. The PS3 forums use to be full of gamers & very few people who complained...now.....it's just complaining & repetitive threads.
Stop complaining, you can play single player games, you can play games online.. the only thing you can't do is access the store. go play some games and try again in a few days. Its better they take their time and get it secure than rush through it and have the same thing happen again.
I'm just happy we can play the games we love online they can take how ever long they need with the store. What does suck however is we can't log in now so sony needs to get it together here.

I think most of us just want to download our DLC. I know I am. I got Mass Effect 2 and I didn't realize I'd need the PSstore to download the interactive comic to make decisions from Mass Effect 1 and have them carry over. It sucks, but I am still playing ME2 and I am loving it.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, my concern is that when the store does return, imagine everyone (millions and millions) will be downloading either their free games or their DLC's, it might not be pretty with everyone on their at once.

Well, we can't. Just be glad that Valve didn't create a firewall whose sole purpose is to keep Gordon Freeman out of the PSN and have GlADOs watch over it. Unless Gordon is the one preventing the store from being resurrected. In fact I'm losing my patience as I type. Not touching my PS3/P until it comes back. And seeing as how that's the only console in my room right now....yeah, this is going to be fun.
I, like most want to download my free games (Infamous, Wipeout HD). However all I can do is be patient. However if Sony doesn't get the store back online by June 6th (E3 conference) they'll be in deep (you know what) and will be the laughing stock of the show. :P

no doubt, me too. Maybe if they would have set a date it wouldn't be as bad, but all we got was a lousy rumor that dashed our hopes. They gave a date -- May 31. PSN should be fully restored by then, but I'm not so sure it'll happen. Still, there's no reason to blame them for not giving a date. People complain when they don't give a date, then complain when the given date isn't met. Sony stated that there will be a day's notice before the store is to return.
I've been super patient with them but even my patience is running thin. They have to get it up, everyone needs it. I hope they hit their "by May 31st" date. If not... wow.

Last I heard (from PSB comments) is that when the Store is ready the Blog is where the first news will be at.

By nature, most people complain about what they don't/can't have, rather than being satisfied with what they already do have. Even after the store returns, they'll find something else to complain about.

Yeah, back then they actually put more content into the games instead of putting most of it in the game, then splitting the rest up as DLC, preorder bonuses, etc. I've been holding off on playing LA Noire any more until I can download the bonus DLCs I have for it. I originally had the game preordered for the 360, but changed it because I didn't want to bother with 3 discs. If I had known it would be weeks before I could get the DLC, I would have just got it on the 360. The only reason I preordered it to begin with was to get the bonus... and I can't even play it. Irritating. Guess I'll stick with my 360 for now. I don't know how anyone else feels about this whole situation, but after having my information stolen because of their poor security, and now this store deal taking ages, I highly doubt I'll be getting a PS4.
the store will never come back and i could care less screw the ps3.........jk but really i just hope that it comes back up tomorrow so we dont have to worry about it again as far as when it will be back. I think what bothered alot of people was the date of may 24th and gamers getting excited about their free games and probably some good discounts to then find out that it will be another week. I have faith that it will be back up tomorrow and we can start downloading so dont worry guys just another day.
