I just played the demo of DI and I have to say it is way better then GOW3. It almost makes me want to say GOW what??? I never heard of it.... I'll have to pass on Bayonetta until April some time. But what did you guys/gals think of DI demo?

exactly, i felt the same way texas, i loved it and def gettin it as well as god of war 3 and bayonetta but better than them i dont think so, for u maybe and i respect that TC but its not a fact that that game is better or will be then bayonetta and/or god of war 3....but yea i do agree with u with one thing, game is fun and is day one purchase for me for sure :)I wouldn't say better than GoW or Bayonetta, but it was definitely fun. This went from a possible future purchase to a day 1 buy for me.

I just started playing the GOW series and I felt more excited playing DI then GOW. And I'm comparing demo vs. demo. This game will rock. But GOW will make more money!!!!

Not by a long shot. Have both demos. GoW still has that extra something that makes it better. Bigger scale, more brutal combos, variety.
DI is the best GoW copycat Ive seen so far, but it fails in many departments. Im just guessing here, but DI from the demo, it looks like a solid 8, 8.5 at most.
It is cool, but its not THAT cool.
It's weird, when I was playing the DI demo, it kept screwing up. Maybe it was me hitting my TV remote, but every so often a cartoon would appear on screen and eventually I would be playing the game. Odd I tell ya.
It was pretty cool, but my problems with the game go beyond it being a GOW clone. I thought the camera wasn't that good and the comic book scenes felt out of place. It was just a bit weird. I thought it would be more of an action-adventure game as opposed to an action hack and slash title.
Finally i downloaded DI demo.
Mmm, i didnt liked it that much... maybe i will be skiping it, i will wait to know more about the game.
Its like a watered down version of a GoW, music, ambient, graphics, and so on, the cutscenes just felt wrong...
I liked the punish/repent stuff for unlocking new moves, and it looks like it has lots of them... i also kinda liked the enemy design, but still, it feels weird.
It was pretty amazing. I the fight with the reaper. Fealt so epic and gave me this feeling of wrongness and it was awesome.
God of War III will be better I think, but I'm definitely picking this up to
When is it releasing?
Please, Dante's Inferno is a complete copy and paste job. It's like they didn't even try to make it even remotely different. Silent-Hal
just like all the folks drooling over that dmc clone that is bayonetta.

To be fair, Bayonetta is being done by one of DMC's original creators.[QUOTE="newhighscore"][QUOTE="Silent-Hal"]Please, Dante's Inferno is a complete copy and paste job. It's like they didn't even try to make it even remotely different. Silent-Hal

To be fair, Bayonetta is being done by one of DMC's original creators.i would think thats worse!? doesnt matter i will buy them both. a good story with fun and addictive gameplay is an easy sale for me.
visceral did an amazing job on dead space so i am curious to see what their version of hell is.

The demo was good, it felt like playing Kratos in hell settings but to be perfectly honest, no - it's not better then GOW III and this is judging from both demos available.
However I did liked the gameplay but that's because it's pretty much 99% God of War iteration, which is a good thing.
God of War still remains my king when it comes to this styles of games.
I thought the gameplay was good, although it borrowed heavily from the GOW series, but the story seemed interesting and its looks like there are alot new combos you can unlock. But i gotta say the graphics were lacking in comparison to GOW3marcl18123Yea, the gameplay gfx were pretty horrible in comparison... the cinematic stuff was great though. The combat started off SOOOO slow. By the end of the demo the combat was interesting.... but it still felt a little flat somehow. The pace wasn't as frenzied or punishing as GOW... I never felt like I had much to worry about. Also, their QTE's were quite lame (last gen) and the 'boss'/big enemies weren't impressive at all... maybe the final game will feature more impressive enemies/challenge. I did enjoy the combat by the end of the demo... I was just disappointed with the lack of challenge. I won't pay $60 for this game, but I'll look for it this summer around $40... or just rent it.
I'll be downloading the demo today and I'll post my impressions shortly thereafter. Seems to me that some of you are far too biased to see past this supposed "copy and paste job". Fighting through Nine Circles of Hell to save ones betrothed; Fighting Titans, and Olympians to make up for a lifetime of wickedness and to exact revenge on Zeus. Yup, sounds identical. (insert sarcasm)N-FonRonsenburgThe stories are not copy and paste (although there are some parallels), but the gameplay definitely is. Even down to opening gates/chests... it's actually kind of disgusting how they just lifted the gameplay from GOW. After this demo, I doubt the game will sell well on the PS3... I wonder how it will do on the other system though. If I'd never played any GOW games, I might like it.
noway is dante better than gow3? how can it be when they are copying all the thing from gow3 lol like weakening the enemy and then doing a button massing swquence to kill or chop off head. like controlling the big beast from the enemy to kill your enemy. it was okay but noway was it better i will wait for gow3 for the true experience and after beating that buy dante for 20$ then :)
As I said in another thread I'm already getting sick of hearing how it's identical to God of War. I've not played the demo as of yet, but I decided to watch some videos on YouTube, and I'm still not seeing the resemblance. Perhaps it's because I'm not looking at it from the same biased point of view. N-FonRonsenburgUhhh, it has nothing to do with being biased... It is a FACT... If you have played a GOW game, then you have played DI, period. I was shocked... if we did work like that back in school, it would have been called plagiarism. Their leveling system is different, and that is actually the one part of the game that intrigues me. But the game as a whole is rather uninspired.... It's not about being biased b/c if the game was really good, I'd pick it up day one. I'm picking up Darksiders day one. Still thinking about Bayonetta. And I'm buying virtually every other major title that comes out b/w Jan-March except for M.A.G... so I have no problem supporting good games. DI just doesn't leave anything to look forward to... especially considering that it's coming out in such a crowded timeframe. If it had come out like in Sept, I probably would have been all over it...
I thought it sucked. It's nowhere near as polished or interesting as GoW II, much less GoW III. Glad you liked it, but I'm actually releived that it was so uninspired, since I can now spend my money on one of the more interesting games coming out over the coming months.I just played the demo of DI and I have to say it is way better then GOW3. To be fair, Bayonetta is being done by one of DMC's original creators.I could be wrong, but I believe I heard in one of the developer diaries that one of (if not the main) level designer for DI was the main level designer for GOW.
This could be one of the reasons it feels so much like GOW
