I am about to begin a serious playthough into this game. I have quites it serious times but now is serious. Now that I have platined Arkham Asylum I have nothing to play, just Demon's Souls. And I searched for guides and walkthrough videos. If you know a good guide for me please say it.

But my main question is: what class should I pick?

Thank you.

Challenge is not what I am really searching for. I read somewhere on the internet that the Royal is tha best class to begin the game, but I don'r want a class just for the beginning of the game, but for the WHOLE game.

Yupe, royal is the easiest to begin with. The way classes work in Demon's Souls is that their initial stats are different; however, as you progres through the game each class will feel more and more like any other class. In the end it all depends on what stats you choose to upgrade and your playstyle. I played my royal as a caster, a friend of mine played it as a melee. I finished the game 5 (or 6) times and got the platinum with one character which was the royal, so I can assure you it'll last you the whole game.

Thank you for the reply, I started the game with royal.

And now that you said that you platined the game with a royal it turned much easier to choose that class.

It doesn't really matter what class you start with all that much in the end. The class selection detemines your starting gear, spells (if any) and stats. How you choose to make your character from there is up to you. Royal is easiest to start with because of the magic regen ring and soul arrow.

The starting class is only important for the initial equip and the stat distribution.

I go Knight since its the stat distribution i like the best, and also you start with a decent shield. I ditch the armor at the beginning rushing to 3-1 and getting the Black Leather set.

I really liked Knight, I used Blueblood Sword with luck build. Worked pretty well.

It mainly depends on how you yourself play the game.

Look them over and the one that best fits you, play as it.

if your new to the souls series, pick royal, you get a good spell that lets you ease into the melee. The Demon's Souls Wiki is all you need. I wouldn't use it as a walkthrough, but its useful for item crafting and such.

Royal is the easiest to start with but personally I think it's better to start with a melee class that way you have to use swords and get used to hand to hand combat (rather then standing at a distance and using magic)

Well I just got the game a few days ago and I made a barbarian. It was hard at first because a barbarian starts with no armor, but once I got the armor, it got easier and now I am having a blast playing barbarian. Think I might make a hunter next.
