its a good game and not as hard as people make it out to be but its just an slightly above average adventure game in my book. we are getting farther and farther away from what rpg's are in my book. demon souls is just barely and rpg. the only thing i find above average with the game is the voice acting, which is remarkable for a japanese rpg.

I am crying right now because i spent 2 hours trying to kill the tower boss and i lost 7k souls i know what you mean, but all in all its pretty easy you just have to figure out the strategy in how to beat the boss. most of the time its not to difficult to reclaim your soul and get all that back. there are 5 worlds that are all very linear and in the end there is really only one way to get through it you just have to figure that out through trial and error. i think difficulty shouldn't sway people away from this game. but i also think the linear level designs the repetition of enviorments and poor lock on and controls should be more of a factor. i don't know about anyone else but this game is like a cross between guild wars super mario world and zelda.

Too many games are living up to and/or surpassing their expectations this year! Which is a great thing but it makes it harder for me to buy all of them!!! But I still will. :P Somehow. This game looks awesome, and I didn't even know what it was until like a few days ago.
you lost 7000 souls? ouch. probably should have spent them. ive yet to lose a huge number of souls. generally when i get a high number i go back to the nexus to spend them before continuing on. if i see a hard enemy i generally run backwards after drawing his attention so that if i die i can collect my souls before i get close enough to draw his attention next time. thats been my strategy so far it has worked well.
