Demon's Souls vs. Dark Souls

Okay. I haven't bought my copy of "Dark Souls" yet, but I'm hearing that it is more difficult than "Demon's Souls." I almost got into an argument with this other player. Not that I'm complaining, but I heard through all of the trailers, interviews, and previews that this game would be difficult yet slightly easier. If anyone has started playing "Dark Souls" please fill me in. Thank you.

Dark Souls is alot more harder, i have died like 100 times and im on the 2nd level

Dark Souls is pretty easy in the beginning, but it changes fairly soon.

Dark Souls is way harder. I platunimed Demons Souls and know it inside and out. Dark Souls doesn't do a good job of presenting the back-story. There are points where you just don't know what to do next and have to explore and grind for new areas. Also, spells take longer to cast leaving you vulnerable, weapons upgrades are scarce and bosses act completely random. It's a very difficult game!
