Dial-up updating, is it worth it?

I have dial-up internet and am wondering if it's worth the trouble to hook it up to the PS3 (if I can) so i can get trophies for Burnout Paradise and BF:BC.

I think you have to DL the update data onto a flash drive then transfer it to your PS3, I could be wrong though.

I'm pretty sure the PS3 only works with broadband.

Really, where would i get them from?

probably from the publishers website, but then again, I don't know. I've never done it before, but if you can, that would be the only way I could possibly think you'd be able to do it.

dial-up is for suckers & the ps3 doesn't have a phone jack

You wouldn't be able to get it working, the PS3 can only use broadband. Get yourself upgraded to cable or DSL.

There really isn't anything you can do on the PS3 via dial-up. Best thing is check into a high speed service. I went DSL a few years back and the cost difference was less than $5.00 a month from what I was paying for dial-up.
