Okay, I've been putting of finishing the single player of Resistance for long enough, when I got Angel's Lair, and the first one pops out at you, it scared the crap out of me:( Did this happen to anyone else, or am I just a loser?:P
i wasnt scared...i just let out a lil "woah!" ..lol...i only jumped from being caught off guard a few times..and it was mostly from the chimera that dont carry any weapons...i had a few comming up on my that i had in my view, and out of knowhere one jumps on me....its actually pretty fun, cuz it makes you jump, and you really want to get it off of you, so shaking the controller feels good =]
I expected Resistance to be somewhat scary, but it wasn't scary at all. The only monster that surprised me were the grey jacks(not sure if this is the correct name). The really tall chimeras that would run directly towards you and do a melee attack.

Its not a scary game. its only scary in the fact that you're afraid to die. Theres so many guys trying to kill you that you always run for cover.. the level where the grayjacks storm you in that small room freaked me out.. there were so frickin many
The game was sci-fi, not horror (don't tell that to the Church of England though, they're still convincd that you curb-stomp church-goers into the altars) and thus wasn't really meant to be "horror-scary" just the typical "wow, rewind for a second so that I can see that again" sci-fi horror.
Nah it didn't really scare me lol But I do try to get into the games I'm playing though. I was just like "uh oh" But I found that I was able to kill the Angels a lot easier than the other bosses I've faced. Like that big guy in the rail tunnel, I was like "oh s**t!! and running for my life to collect myself for a second lol Or facing that Stalker 1 on 1 with that little tin hut in the middle lol
I mean sometimes I get nervous cause it's fun to get into the game you're playing, but I've never been "scared".
