Did you ever realize on PSN that you were bad at video games?

I was playing Resistance 2 today and I realized how much I suck at video games because I've never played online before I got my PS3 and I only played with friends or family and I always beat them but when I was playing i kept getting killed in EVERY game game that I have. Did this ever happen to you guys?

Nope, When I play online, it reasures me of how awesome I am games

The only reason I suck at online is because I lag like hell.

Try playing a game like Street Fighter if you really want to see how much better some people are at video games. I always thought I was decent, but some people have spent hundreds of hours playing it and are just insanely good. I'm not super competitive, but I don't like getting slaughtered all day. Actually, It made me realize how good I actually was.

i never play on line just so i can pretend i am the greatest, completing MGS4 on liquid easy, over and over again, and feeling smug about it.:D

I realized that I was actually pretty good in games.

Been winning 50% of matches for all the fighting games I have.

Much better than I expected.

I feel insignificant when I play Little Big Planet.

Compared to a lot of the people on PSN, I'm pretty bad at fighting games (SF4/SC4). I'm the best player by a large margin against my friends though. When we do loser passes, they have to take my controller away and give it to someone else after it goes around the room a few times. I suppose that merely means they're truly awful and I'm sub-par. My win rate on SF4's a pitiful 22% and I generally get like 5 messages a day saying I suck and should quit.

Wow, what kind of a-holes do you play against? :shock: I have a 12% win rate and no one has ever sent me a message like that.

I sucked when I first started playing online games (RFoM), I wouldn't say I'm really good or anything now, but I tend to be able to hold my own. The same tactics I use can usually be used from game to game, so even when I'm unfamiliar with a new game I can still do average-above average. I'm much better at single player games like God of War and Devil May Cry though

It depends on what game.

Shooters I am awesome at.

Racers I am meh

Fighters- not so much (cept Tekken which I'm decent)

RTS- lawl not even close

when it comes to 2-D fighters i can hold my own. my records are pretty decent. but when i was playing wwe smackdown vs. raw 2009 i thought i would dominate the competition because i can compete on the highesht difficulty and win the matches like it was no joke. but when i was playing the players online i be gettin my butt kicked hard. i think my record in that game right now is 70-129

I feel like that every time i play counterstrike online. I beat the single player and i thought i was so good then i went online and i got raped.

I`m a natural at Killzone 2 but get my ass handed to me every time I play Soul Calibur 4 online.

Well the only few games I play are some PSN games and the Battlefield games, I usually reach number one every game I play.

no i enjoy every game that I have it's just that when youre used to playing games with friends or family and you beat every single one of them you feel awesome but when you play online you realize just how good people are at the game that youre playing. I think that everyone enjoys their game when playing online even if they are bad at the game or else you wouldnt be playing it. Right?

WOW I see that there is no excuse for being bad in SF 4. I wonder if the same is happening in WWE lol

You have to crawl before you walk son, keep on gaming...eventually you will get better and become competitive. And to answer your question "YES" I was getting my but kick when I first started playing games like COD4 and RB6V2 online..."BUT"now I'm very competitive and a force to be reckoned with.

Not really on the psn, im pretty good at msot games i play. BUT....... ever play starcraft? Don't you hate when you realize you entered a game against a korean? They're not even human they're so so good.

I'm pretty bad at fighting games and such, but I come across so many geeks it's insane. They I suck and should quit, I just reply laughing at them because of the amount of time they spend trying to be good.

The only thing I suck at is fighting games. Fat Princess/FPS/TPS/Racing its all pretty easy to learn the ins and outs of online play and pick up on other people's strategys but fighting games is where I just can't think fast enough. On Blazblue my win ratio is around 44% but once I hit level 30 its like everyone just became hardcore on me. But I'm just trying to get all the art pieces so its no big deal, I'm ok just trying to defeat the CPU.

no it just made me step my game up in a weird way i like to lose because when i loose online it shows holes in my game and it gives me more creative ways to beat the hell out of my friends and family
