No, I'm not asking "Will this hard drive work." I have my new 160 gigabyte hard drive on me and I'm desperate to start getting the new Resistance Maps but I have a problem.

I can't unscrew the 4 screw on the metal frame. I managed to get 1 screw out but the other 3 are stuck tight. Anyone have any ideas.

I posted this earlier but I couldn't find it again. I went to my history and then I found the thead but I got this message

You do not have access to view topics on this board.

I don't know why this was because no one even told my if it was deleted, why it was deleted.

If you were using the wrong type of screwdriver its possible that you stripped the screws. My guess would be to get some Needlenose pliars and try to turn them that way.

I had to use a battery powered screw driver to get them out here.  Sorry I can't be of more help, but mine were screwed in very tight.

Hmm in that case, I don't know. There's gotta be some tool for it, but I'm not sure which one it is.

If you stripped the heads of the screws you'll have to bore them out, with a drill. Use the drill on the head of each remaining screw, once removed you'll need new screws.

The screw heads aren't recessed. You need a SMALL vice grip which you clamp on & rotate. Trust me , it'll work as long as you buy the appropriate size. You won't need to drill out anything.

You'll still need to visit your local computer shop for some replacement mounting screws.

try needlenose again, or anything that'll give a good grip
