Disappointment

Was any one else let down by Sony's E3 presentation? I mean I'am kind of excited by Agent, but with no game play footage it is hard to get behind. I should note that I have never gotten into the Final Fantasy games, I am also not a fan of racing games. It just seemed the presentation focused more on the relaunch of the PSP than expanding on the PS3. Is it just me, or did any anyone else want more for the PS3?

And it was a boring first hour to me, it made me lose interest. Say what you want about Microsoft, they had the most entertaing presentation of the big 3/

I was looking for new stuff, alot of what was shown were games that we knew were being made, I like hearing about new games. Thats why Agent was the game that I thought was the best.

nah, it was good. only i would like to see some ninja gaiden sigma 2 (i hope comes this fall) and whats all about the kojima "mask" game (its castlevania or what?) Could be nice to see a exclusive of kojima for ps3 but GOW3 made me forget it:) All in all was pretty cool.-

Disappointed? What!? Their presentation was the best by far. People forget that they have three platforms to show off so of course they had to spend some time with them. However, the PS3 actually got more time in than both the others. And what's to be disappointed about? Agent, Uncharted 2,The Last Guardian, GoW3, MAG, FF14, GT5, Heavy Rain, those phenomenal motion controllers, and the extra exclusive footage for FF13 and AC2 were all FTW!!! The PS3 is getting tons of love this year!!!Nephilim83

not me it was Way better than the wii the wii got a lil better towards the endthe 360 was ok but i was amazed at most of the gameplay footage shown for ps3def a winner in my book

Well not caring about the psp or the ps2.. surely i was like EH..

then you add that we saw some uncharted 2 and the last guardian(when it was project trico)before.. No set release for gt5.. MAG was not as expected.. the new controller thing is weird and not appealing to the people who play games to relax.. FF14 is an exclusive MMO whcih is uncertain how to take that.. gow3 was as expected.. mod nation was cool but could have sworn i seen or heard that prior.. agent was announced and that's it.. FF7, but i have the disks and a BC ps3..

yes it was let down TO ME but because i already knew the things i was interested in.. didn't see anything on what i wanted to see heavy rain ect.. basically all their announcements didn't affect me.. so yeah i was left feeling a bit dissapointed..

however i still feel they had a strong conference just not for me..

Horrible conference... I was looking forward to maybe some fun new unannounced ps3 games but didnt really get much. Yes agent and FF14, but i dunno just didnt win me over. Did love GOW3 and Unchartded though.

It wasn't very good but they do have some great games coming out. GOW at the end was epic

I was unimpressed as well, especially with the announcements. I'll never buy a psp. I'll go back to WoW before playing FF XIV. Maybe Last Guardian will be nice, but I know absolutely nothing about it..same thing with the rockstar north game. GT5 doesn't excite me either.

I also dont know why they(all of them) go into how many units they moved last year.

I thought Mod Nation Racing was really impressive. I think it has potential to be an amazing game. I can't believe more people didn't enjoy that. It was Mario Kart with the creativity/customization of LBP.

Also that The Last Guardian trailer was epic. It was the first time I have seen it. I can't wait to play the final game of the trilogy. Team Ico makes masterpieces.

Hype is just an illusion, they can save all the chatter.The bottom line for me is the games...I was impressed with what I saw so far.

Uncharted 2=amazing

Mag- I came in thinking it was going to suck but i was kinda impressed by it.

PSP Go- looks cool and MGS Peace Walker I may look into getting a psp...maybe the hannah montana psp= EPIC WIN lol

FF13 looked good. FF14 online exclusive= win

i think it was a well done conference i just wished they showed more heavy rain but other than that it was good

They won't come out and say it but most of these "Sonys press conference sucks" threads are the result of some people being mad that Metal Gear went multi-console.

35 exclusives on top of all the multiplatform games was more than enough for me.

Also "Only possible on the PS3" and "while others want to talk about the future of gaming we are showing you the future of gaming" win and win LOL.

honestly I was really impressed with the conference. I was really happy to see the PSP support (although I don't know where Im going to find the money to play PSP games with so much Win on the PS3), the God of War footage was Epic, and the FFXIVannouncement blew me away. I was planning on playing FFXI again but now I'm waiting for FFXIV.

sony's show was pretty good. their music selection was by far way better than nintendo's and microsoft's (excluding beatles rockband). it started of great with that presentation video and uncharted 2 but the psp and ps2 talk bored me. when they started talking about ps3 again and showed off modnation racers, gow 3, FF14, mag and those compilation videos those wowed me. i give the presentation as a whole 8/10.

only part of MS' show i liked was forza 3, that epic game (forgot name), natal and splintercell. the ceo looked like a douche and talks a lot of crap so neg points. most of the stuff they showed was multiplat so i can't really count it as MS. overall, 5/10

nintendo- metroid: other m, golden sun DS, for that news alone i wanna say 10/10 but the rest sucked majorly so 7/10.

Why do they even bother wasting time on PS2 anymore?

I thought it was lackluster at best....everything was either already announced or leaked previously

I wouldn't say I was disappointed, but I did expect more. In the end it was better than MS' or Nintendo's conferences.

Disappointed? Far from it. I thought it was quite solid.
