Finished it about 2 weeks ago and your right about those respawns. I think the one thing I dislike the most was the fact that the roads are just thick with enemy vehicles. I had an easier time jus running on foot using the bus stations.

It's a decent game but I hate the re spawns and wished that there was more of a variety of animals and people that don't just shoot at you. They made Africa to big and beautiful just to leave it empty.

I really like the game: its beautiful to look at and incredibly immersive. The mix and matching of weapon combos is fun, as you can tailor the experience through weapon choice. The shooting mechanics feel good, and the weapons have good kick and response. Now what I think could improve is the mission variety: while I never truly got bored, it does need some more variation in what you are asked to do. Also, as with almost all other sandbox games, the game is still deceptively linear. I'm still waiting for a game where you can do absolutely anything you want. In the end, because there is nothing else to do BESIDES the missions that advance the story, you end up just playing a linear storyline. In terms of immersion and atmosphere, the game is lacking civilians and more animal types. Where are the villagers? Why is everyone in the country a mercenary?? And, yes, there needs to be a better respawn system: after killing guards at an outpost, have more guards take over the abandoned post IN REAL TIME. They should drive up in cars, notice that everyone is dead, look around for threats a little bit, and then just settle there. And all of this should take place within a realistic time frame. Also, one should be free to choose whether they want to fully ally themselves with the APR or UFLL or the underground, and this should affect who attacks you and who doesn't and possibly allow AI NPC's to help you out if you are in trouble. But no, right now, everyone attacks you.

It's quite good but the endlessly respawning guards and driving around just make it too repetitive.

i just avoid the enemies and keep driving to my destination, usually works unless ur car breaks down, then time for some action.

i loved the game, up until i reached 91% complete and all of my 7 gamesaves got corrupted. As soon as that happened and realized i would have to invest another 30+ hours just to beat it pissed me off so i traded it in. damn save/load glitch!

I finished it aboot a month ago, and i really enjoyed it.. while i wish there were more weapons/vehicles (maybe like an unlockable jetpack or something would've been awesome ;) ) i really liked the Burger King approach to the game (Have it your way :P)

Although one thing that would've made the game infinitley better is weapon customization...

Online was pretty fun imo, although the lobby system completely killed that... and also the whole relying on the aimbot all the time gets kind of old...

Also i don't know if i missed it or something, but there really should have been a New Game + feature where you could start over but carry over all your guns..

I enjoyed it for about 2 hours. 5-6 hours, I started realizing how badly they missed the mark and how much better it could have been. Ambient wildlife, people that spoke at a normal human pace, more frequent bus stops, less guard posts, some people that wouldnt shoot at you immediately... After around 10-12 hours I was thinking about how much I would rather die IRL then drive another 30 minutes to my next objective. Ejected the disc and traded it in.

I went to my nearest Best Buy today because I read they had FC2 for sale at 29.99 and it was already sold out. So i ended up with Prince Of Persia for 39.99. Only time will tell if I made the right move. But like Bush said, "You may not agree with some of the tough decisions I have made, but I hope you can agree that I was willing to make the tough decisions"
