There are two big questions you need to answer. 1) Are there enough exclusive games to make you interested? There's a fair number of good ones- LittleBigPlanet, God of War: CoO, Patapon, FFVII: Crisis Core, Monster Hunter, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops/Peace Walker, Valkyria Chronicles 2, and plenty more. Plus, while some games are multiplat, you may want them in portable form. 2) Even forgetting exclusives, do you have a fair amount of spare time to play outside of your home?
i would say if all you are interested in is completing your playstation collection then go ebay and buy a broken one for your shelf. but it you want a nice gaming machine for the go then get a working one.
If you have some spare money, why not. Either get a psp go so you can use your ps3 controller, a cool feature or get a psp3000 for more games. If you have a tight budget, I say skip it or wait for a price drop or something. Buying a psp means spending more money since you will be buying a couple of games on top of ps3 games...
There are enough titles for it to be a worthy purchase, but only just. CHOOSE YOUR GAMES CAREFULLY, and only buy these ones that I tell you to: Wipeout Pure Wipeout Pulse Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions Killzone: Liberation Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (which is extreeeemely overrated by its fanboiz) GTA: Vice City Stories, GTA: Chinatown Wars. Lumines I highly recommend these titles, and no others.
so i was thinking about getting a psp to complete my playstation collection,but is it really worth the money since most games are just ports?wafflebuster2
Yes buy one they are worth the money and most games on the PSP are not ports the PSP has a lot of great titles exclusive to the system.
I don't have one yet but I'm wanting to get one. There are a lot of games out that are really good. I haven't heard much about it but apparantly dissidia is good. Patapon, little big planet, god of war are amazing. Sony has announced that they are wanting to bring a lot of console games over, but they said brand new titles, not justports (I've heard some rumors of uncharted, although that is unlikely) Sony said they had several, not just the few they brought over. So I say sure, I'm really wanting one but have so many other things to buy right now that PSP is at the back of my mind, but I've played my friend's PSP and they are a lot of fun.
Oh also there's metal gear peace walker coming. I liked the Syphon Filter games, mod nation racers (I don't know if it's a port or not) plus there's some games you can download onto your PSP like final fantasy 7 or other playstation games/PSN games. So there is a lot to get.
