Do we really want Kingdom Hearts 3?

Honestly, would you?

If you think about it, good game series would have a stellar original, a sequel and maybe a couple spin-offs.

In this case, KH (PS2), KH2 (PS2), KH: COM (GBA/PS2), KH: 358/2 Days (DS), KH: BBS (PSP).

If a game series goes on too long then people get sick of it and it ends up failing.

It's much better finishing a game series with a blast and not have it drag on forever.

Kingdom Hearts 2 finished the story with Sora destroying darkness, yet everyone cries for Kingdom Hearts 3?

What would it really be about? I believe in trilogies, but I don't believe in sequels that aren't needed.

Basically what I'm getting at is... What's your opinion on this?

Well, there was some kind of preview as secret ending in KH2. You may be right about KH2 being a good ending for the series, but this does not exclude a more mature prequel. I personally would enjoy a (as above said more mature) Prequel to the saga to finish the trilogy

I've never played any of them so I vote, yes, we do want Kingdom Hearts 3, just so I can play it and see what it is.

The storyline pretty much ended in KH2 or did it? Yes I would want a KH3 simply because I urge for more of the same, I think theres room for improvement and theres still alot more disney worlds to introduce.

I also think FF Versus 13 will be a much better game than KH because it does away with the disney part, with a far more darker theme and storyline. It's made by the KH team also. So right now I'm more concerned on how FF Versus 13 turns out while KH3 comes second.

for the pure fact that we have no rpgs... ugh thats going to be a hell yeah.

even if this game turns out averge.. its still an rpg. i have the fps blues so i need a change, im sure alot of people do.

Im probably more excited for this game then ive ever been for any other game! ive played through all of the KH games and loved all of them! the story developement is amazing, the character developement is amazing and there are soooooo many point in all of them that really tug on the heart! the gameplay is great in all of them and combines button mashing with strategy seamlessly! overall id say its one of the best games ever created! how could anyone not love fighting off 1000 heartless, or controlling mickey mouse in a ninja outfit or helping jack skelington save halloween town or actaully becoming a mermaid to help ariel, fighting along side jack sparrow.....etc...... i cant wait to see what they are going to do with the endless possibilities of the ps3!

If its going to be as good or better then the first 2 then bring it on.

having enjoyed all the kingdom hearts games, i say YES.

Even if it get a average rating, it will still be a great treat for kh fans dieing for the story to continue.

I loved Kingdom Hearts, but wasn't so fond of Kingdom Hearts II. I have no intention of playing COM, 365/2 or BBS so I'm gonna wait and see what kind of reception Kindom Hearts III gets (assuming it gets released on PS3 - you can't tell with Square Enix any more:roll: ).

Nope dont really care for it.

You guys should check out the Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ Secret ending, extended with more action. And as far as that secret ending went, it seemed to point towards Birth by Sleep more then KH3 honestly. Still, the hopes are still good for a third.Rhen_Var

Heck Yeah I want to see KH3!!! The first to were great and I just finished the DS version that was ported to the PS2. That game explained a lot in the difference asto how the 1st KH ended and how the 2nd KH started. The PS3 i slacking in the RPG dept but as for me im getting by playing my Asian/English version of Demon's Souls...Great Game by the Way...

it won't hurt anyone if they release it kingdom hearts isn't a bad series a new kingdom hearts would be interesting cause i think the hero isn't sora anymore right?

why not. it sure is a different aproach to rpgs and adventure games. Furthermore the ps3's capabilities can remove some minor hidrances from past installments and create a visually stuning world which was already great on the ps2

My gf liked Kingdom Hearts, but I had a really hard time getting into it. I don't mind the Disney spin, since I don't limit myself exclusively to playing games that make me look cool. I just thought the game was a little boring and a little poorly executed.

So I really don't care... but I think this game has something about it that appeals to girls, which Sony could really benefit from. Girls aren't the easiest group to wrangle in this industry, after all.

Ending the series with BBS would be good. I agree with TC, this is the same reason I don't want to see a MGS5, not doubting Kojima's team's ability or anything, but pushing the story when everything is already done is just forcing it too much.

No, we don't really want a sequel. After playing The World Ends With You, I realized how talented the Jupiter team truly is, and creating spin offs/sequels to the same game isn't doing them much justice. Now I'm not advocating a TWEWY series, because that would start this whole chain over (although a ONE prequel would be nice to answer some questions) but I think this dev team should continue to create oringinal work because that is where they shine. Kingdom Hearts 1 was great, The World Ends With You was fantastic, and now I think it would be best to for them create a new IP that would crush the other two.

umm of course kh was made to be a trilogy from the beggining just look at the endings kh1 ended with a cliffhanger that needed a follow up and kh2 ended with another cliffhanger anyone who has beaten both of the games can tell you they need a third one to finish off the trilogy

I'd love next Kingdom Hearts, without a doubt. :)

to be honest, not anymore. i mean after i finished KH2 i would of loved a third one but now that i look at it years later there really isnt a need. they finished the story and the secret ending in KH2 is gonna be on the psp.

i welcome more RPG's to my game collection. Kingdom Hearts just adds to the excitement

A whole lot of you have been saying that the trailer at the end of KH2 hinted it... but for the last time that was a trailer for Birth By Sleep on the PSP.

Imo, it would be great as a prequel on the PS3, but if it's going to be a sequel it would ruin the series.

Also, I would love to have a Kingdom Hearts game, just as long as it wasn't centered on the Riku/Sora story.
