You have to remember. It's kids on a message board that chances are, don't even know how to spell Market Shares never mind predicting them. I would advise you take this place and it's message boards with a grain of salt.
The PS3 has only just started. Consider the PS One for example. Started with games like RIdge Racer and ended up with games as graphically excellent as Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9. I think developers have barely unlocked a third of the PS3's potential as of now and we have far more to come.
i think its just the economic down fall we are in right now it is all based on if ppl can afford it ne more but i think it will stay around like some body said sony is a huge company and if it get so bad that ps cant go on then we have bigger issues then not being able to play cod
I dont understand why people are still complaining about exclusives on the PS3... if its in terms of quality games.. which i think it should be, who wants to play a bad game?.. The PS3 has had more higher rated exclusives the then Wii or the X360. thats a fact you can research on any review site, be it gamespot, ign or metacritic. plus there are several more scheduled that will be stellar.. killzone2, GoW3, and White Knight Chronicles.. and several more which may or may not be great like Heavy Rain...

i completely agree playstation has always been ahead with better games 360 being like the babysitter of the game world just distracting them with pretty colors and bells and whistels

Of course not. With games such as little big planet, Killzone 2 and more to come. No fricken way. The PS3 is going to out sell the 360 by the years end.(It's now at 20 million units vs 360's 28 million) Pretty pathetic considering the 360 went from and 11 million lead back in Nov 2006 to now a 8 million lead I think the 360's days are numbered. As for the Wii the PS3 will supass it also. PS3 will be the last one standing out of the 3.

Well, according to Sony, the PS3 is selling as many units as the Ps2 was at this point in it's lifespan or something like that, think I heard it at Leipzig or E3 last year, not sure if that is still correct though.
People who really believe that just don't have a clue what they're talking about. It should be very easy to understand why the PS3 isn't "facing its last days". We heard the same crap in 2007.
imo sony has put to much time, energy and $$$ into the ps3 to jump ship. it has over 20million units sold world wide and a strong fan base. also, it features there blu-ray player that they putting a lot of resources into. if anything the ps3 will see it's full life span, but that isn't to say there will be a ps4. I believe there will be, but who knows. i believe we are all safe w/ our ps3's

every product has its highs and lows...gv time to sony and PS 3..u cant be expecting each product is selling the same volume as their predecessors...attracting and convincing ppl needs time...
Well congrats on upgrading as I did the same thing after having to have repairs on my other console. Sales numbers are quite misleading when you start to take into account the number of people who have bought multiple 360's. There was an article awhile back on IGN showing even though the 360 had more titles the PS3 had more higher scoring titles. Quality over quantity, why I now have a PS3 and my 360 collects dust.
Yes, yes it is. The sky is falling, woe is the PS3. Only kidding, but 2009 will not be the year the PS3 "breaks" out as others have indicated, as the economic climate will prevent any breakouts this year. People are going to be worried about staying in their homes, and putting food on the table, not if a console has built in wi-fi.
I don't post in here often, but after seeing like the 20th of these type threads in the last few days, I have to ask *sarcastically*: did something happen in the last couple weeks that I'm unaware of to make these threads so popular? Get over the system war crap, it's over. 360 will likely always sell more because it's more user-friendly. Does it really matter? If this is all in response to Sony losing money and laying off employees then that's silly too, most major corporations are nowadays. I don't even know why I still check out these threads, I guess it's like a train wreck, can't stop looking.

No way. Check the top 15 x360 games, whats there that isn't on PC and/or PS3? The 360 doesn't have those much good games as fanboys like to brag about. top 15 of PS3 is much more interesting. the ONLY advantage of the 360 over the PS3 is price tag, and if you do the math, 60EUR year + system the 360 is more expensive, not only that but alot of things you get for free on PSN you have to pay for on xbl. i chose the PS3 over the 360 on day 1, the 360 was never in my plans, doing all the math + lack of rrod, PS3 >>>>360... PS. SONY LOW THE PRICE ON THE DAMN THING, BRING BACK 20GB FOR 200EUR OR 250EUR! ! !
No. The gaming journalists either have a serious bias against Sony or want to get as many hits as they can by using sensationalistic headlines like "PS3 is doomed." Fact of the matter is Sony as a Corporation is a major major force. And all that money its gaming division made off the PS1 and PS2 didn't exactly disappear. Now, the PS3 is the most expensive of the two systems by far. Being 200 bucks more than the Xbox360 is proving to be too big a pill to swallow for many. Consider the economy just about crashing and its easy to see why a 400 dollar entertainment system isn't doing so well. BUT, last year when Sony was a mere 100 bucks more than the other system they sold quite well. I think they actually were outselling the 360 for most of the year until the 199.99 sku was dropped. So what Sony needs to do is get the price down to 299.99; you know this and so do I. The one issue is that maybe Sony is looking to earn a profit on hardware or at least break even for a while before they go back to losing money. Maybe they're waiting for the fiscal year to end so they can report a gain to their shareholders. I don't know. These sorts of decisions are only discussed in Sony boardrooms. All I can say is that as a PS3 owner I'm very happy with the system, I can't wait for Killzone 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, the Team Ico game, and love how much PSN has grown and continues to grow. PS3 is not going anywhere. Sony isn't either. The one good thing that came from launching such a forward thinking system (blu-ray, the cell, standard HDD) is that the PS3 should last a long long long time.
No way. It's taking longer for developers to warm up to the PS3 because of it's development learning curve. I believe the PS3 will have a very long life cycle and will probrably undergo a cosmetic design change like the PS2 but it is not going to fail. I have both systems by the way and love them both.
