I constantly am seeing people put Home on a list of games or something of the sort. IMO, I really don't see why someone would consider it a game. Yes, it will have little mini games in it, but to go as far and consider it a game seems like a reach.

Agree, disagree?

This is a lame topic.

First of all, what else than putting it on the games section, are they gonna make a whole new section just for Home

Second, if u want updates sent to you automatically, you just track Home as a game and all news about the software will be sent to you.

I see what your saying but you really didn't give me an answer. Im mean, what makes it a game? It's simply a virtual networking program.

Of course it's a game. It's as much of a game as SIMS IMO, which is great.

I agree that the sims is great, but Home will not have the depth of The Sims.

When it comes to Second Life, its a vrtual myspace and, IMO, Home will be the same.

Home is just a glorified polygon, avatar based chat room application simular to Second Life. Chat rooms were all text in the mid to late 90's when it really started. Now it's the 21st Century. Technology has changed greatly since then. Chat rooms have gone visual. It's not much different from Second Life. Games have an objective and you play them by completing certain tasks. Home, has no such tasks. You walk around, chat with people, change the look of your private chat channel (aka apartment/house) and you use a friends list and jump into games with your friends. It's not a game.

Is the MGS4 Database a game? I rest my case...

I agree, but I like the (supposed) seamlessness that is going to exist between meandering through Home and instantly joining into COD4 matches with people you meet in it.

No problem lol I just don't see how people see Home as a game, when it really isn't. If that's the case, Internet Explorer is a game, Windows is a game, Micrsoft Excel is a game. Heck, might as well say turning on your system is a game too. lol

Yes, THAT is why home will be great. Finding a group of people who actually have mics and aren't 12 year old kids who sing :P

To add to that, I read in PSM that Warhawk may have a feature where all the players "gather" around a virtual table with polygon pieces to plan out their invasions.

My answer is that it's definetely not a game, but you're question was why put it in my tracked games and wish list when it's not a game. That's what i answered i my previous reply.

Well I say it's a game, and even then, I don't really care because it's free.
