I've been thinking about playing through God of War III and Infamous again after beating them both already to see if there is any replay value (but mostly because I enjoyed them so much the first time) on higher difficulties. It may not be as rewarding as playing through them for the first time, but I figure that playing them again will just help me re-live those great times and frustrations and understand the true value that I paid for in the first place.

Do many of you play through games multiple times after having beaten them?

I'm on my 4th play through of Uncharted 2. I played through Gears of War 2 15 full times. Then a few chapters on co-op a 3 or 4 times. I've played each Pokemon game at least 4 times through. On my third play through of Assassins Creed 2. Just finished my second of AC1. So yeah, lol. If I enjoy it enough I play through it multiple times.

I have a tendency to replay my favorite games a lot, though not usually right after the other, but in between playing other games. Though if I play a game say on normal difficulty and really enjoy it I will usually play it again on a higher difficulty right after finishing it. Plus it is fun to see if I missed anything the first time playing through.

And then there are the games that have reasons you would want to replay, say if it is a game where choices affect the outcome, or if it is a game that offers incentives in a second playthrough, like different powers or something. I try to get the most out of every game I buy, unless I hate it.

depends, if i really liked a game then yes. some of these games include mario 64, uncharted 2, Gun, Call of Duty 3, Prince of Persia Warrior Within and The Two Thrones, and working on Mass Effect 2 again. Other games I'll go back and do certain missions, such as in B:BC2 and KZ2. I actually find it interesting going back to games I've beat a while ago, as it allows me remember just how great games can be.

I played though Uncharted and Gears of War twice. I'm going to play Uncharted 2 again sometime in October to get ready for the 3rd title.

Rarely. I'll only play a game multiple times if I really enjoyed it and want to get the achievements/trophies for it, but usually I don't care about achievements/trophies.

I play through all of my games more than once. What would be the point of buying over 50 games if I was just gonna play them once and let them collect dust for the rest of my days.

Yupe, I've played most of my games more than once. My most played game is Final Fantasy X and I have finished it 17 times so far. As for PS3 games God of War III tops my list with 10 times.

Yes!:) especially if I get to play as a bad guy or good guy. Also, if it's a really great game I can easily play through it multiple times (I've already done this with BioShock, Grand Theft Auto IV, Resident Evil 5, and Valkyria Chronicles). I definitely want to play through the God of War trilogy again too.;)

I seldom replay games i've already beat. The last games i can remember were Prey and Doom 3 on PC.

Most of the time, no. I would say maybe only 10% of all games do I go back and beat it a 2nd or 3rd time. Only if I really like the game.

well, ive beat UC2 7 times. I always beat the games im playing. But If its good, then why get rid of it. UC2 is the best third person shooter ive played....and thats a long list. so why not play it??? it doesnt matter what game or genre, UC2 is just an example. I have almost 500 hours logged in l4d1 on my PC. 350 hours in geometry wars Wii(thats kind of scary though)

Sure man !! When you really like a game, my advice is to wait some time, play some more games and stuff, and some time ago play ir again. You always forget things which are nice to remember, and you understand the storyline even better when you repeat a playtrough.

Do it.

I played through Devil May Cry 4 and Metal Gear Solid 4 three times each. Killzone 2 twice and Army of Two: The 40th Day like maybe four times considering all the chapter replays I've done. Good times :)

I've played through Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II multiple times each, and have clocked in SEVERAL hundreds of hours combined.

I'll probably do the same for KH3, if it ever gets developed.

Othergames, however, I've rarely played more than twice. Andwith most games,I've only gone through one playthrough.

I always replay my games. Back when I was a kid I didn't have the money to afford a lot of games so I stuck with the ones I had. I've probably played through each Ratchet and Clank a dozen or more times alone. The habit kind of stuck with me and as a result, there isn't a single game in my collection that hasn't been played through at least twice with the exception of Oblivion, on which I just stick with my current save.

Sometimes if I can access additional stuff by going through it again, rarely if not, I really need to love it to go through it even though it has no additional stuff

Yes, but mostly for trophies. I played through R&C: ACiT 3 times for instance (1 playthrough for fun on normal; 1 on hard and 1 in challenge mode).
